7 games in, 7 points won - 2 wins against bottom teams How much longer has Joeybag got? Until he gets convicted. Then we start over again, utter waste of a season, need to find something to do on my sat afternoons. After posting that I seemed to remember that some fans were suggesting that he should be given 10 games to prove himself

We are not very good are we? No, we really are not. We have a serious problem with goal scoring and have signed two unfit front men with a combined age to rival Methuselah. We have a half tidy playmaker, who gets injured too regularly. We have a midfield who look like they've never met one another and we have a manager who apportions blame anywhere but himself, has the tactical nous of a Mars Bar and is consumed by his own self-made myth. We're in danger of being relegation material again unless the alleged manager is removed.

Expect JB to offer no particular tactical insight or reflection in the post-match interview. Not once has he acknowledged he may pick the wrong players or set-up the team incorrectly. I expect him to insist on promotion with a false passion and continue believing in the process. We’re 21st, we’ve just lost at Hartlepool. I didn’t think we’d see the Graydon/McGhee/Ward days again but here we are.

The good news from this afternoon, our promotion rivals Bradford and Swindon dropped points. In beatings.

Just got back.....on chuff chuff.
Oh well...we lost. Kinda karma from last week.
We're not attacking with enough cohesive, formulative forward play to win. At the moment.
We are defending with vigour, physical awareness and enough organisation to not lose games.
Somewhere, we need to link the two.
I really liked Grant today. Playing effective right back, then after sub switching to mid. He didn't create anything of note, just he stopped and tracked and done some hard work in that heat.
Phew...what a heat to play in. The away end was a sun trap.
Belshaw was again brilliant. Connor Taylor was again immense.
I would question Evans as set piece delivery fella? Gave ball away a lot. I would question Finley as Captain? I would also question Hughes as he appeared to lose possession for their goal...happy to stand corrected...but he let the ball bounce first half to let in their striker, not impressed so far.
We look ponderous on possession. In mid, we are a team of strangers and rarely link up. It's an uncompromising division, we are struggling with our basic passing and movement, quite a few times mid are bypassed for the inane punt to Clarke, and latterly pitman. Poor.
Pitman had his one chance, a header, definitely in, but keeper made his save....it could so easily have been different. It could also have been different if Saunders shot had gone the other side of the stantion, a brilliant through ball by Evans set him up
In a game we didn't deserve to lose, but definitely didn't deserve to win, we are playing settled established teams with our new squad and struggling.
JAB appeared to make the subs and calls most of us would have made today, it just didn't work. It kinda did last week....small margins....we lost away to Hartlepool, they are upwardly moving, we aren't and haven't been for so long.
Everyone did try, even Evans whom went off for water....(wtf!?) on their sub....but we did huff and puff. Just today it wasn't good enough.

Just back from Cheshunt FC 0 Merstham 1. But what Rovers legend was in attendance? Apparently we lost at Hartlepool. Yeah, whatever.

Lovely bloke. My son watched his first ever game Gas / Janners (1-1) and of course Mr Hayles scored on his home debut...

Ha ha, a lucky guess on my part. I thought he used to play for them but that was Chesham. I remember the Janners game well and couldn’t believe how good Barry was

Nope! Had a chat with Mr Cureton before Enfield FC vs Ilford at Bishops Stortford 2 weeks ago though... I think JC could do a job for us now, he is only 46 and would fit it quite nicely up front.
