We’re working on things in the background. I was on the phone all day yesterday speaking to managers in the divisions above and seeing what they’ve got coming out and seeing what options might be on the market.
It’s interesting when you speak to other managers, certainly at this point because a lot of them are more experienced than you and you’re just getting their take on things.
You think your group is struggling for momentum and when you speak to them, they’re the same.
I spoke to Cooky (Paul Cook) yesterday, Steve Evans, Nathan Jones and Danny Cowley.
I was talking to Cooky about his group and he said he hasn’t got his best players on the pitch, which we are in a similar vein.

Interesting. Assuming some of these chats could have been more than just friendly and I know he's mates with Paul cook but if he's considering players from those clubs could be Norwood, Hylton, Ellis, Akinde?

Maybe feeling. Pressure, it can get to everyone & especially when you have said if you can’t get promoted from L2 you shouldn’t be a manager

I thought it wouldn't be worth speaking to that Nathan Jones..... he's been gone too long.

Very different managers Evans and Jones. Evans, as TWD said, and Nathan Jones, committed Christian who lives his life according to his principles. JB has some varied friends perhaps. UTG!

Stop with the notion that being Christian somehow makes you a decent person. Firstly, the Bible is rammed full of immoral filth, secondly, would you like a list of the terrible stuff done in the name of Christianity? It'll be a long list and may well test whether there's a filter on post length on this forum. Everybody lives their life according to their principles.

You only mentioned 2 people, you stated that Evans is I had 'said', I presume that you were confirming that the content of the link I provided was correct, that means Evans = Bad. You are talking about varied people and only have 2 names, so therefore, for what you have written to have any logical meaning Jones = Good, and you've referenced his theological beliefs. What's hard to understand?

He’s enthusiastic. They say culture eats strategy for breakfast. Joey gas almost a squad of players that have bought into his culture. If his team are playing for him then we should have a good season. If joey has to leave prematurely then I hope we gave a continuation of this culture so we don’t have another exodus.
Perhaps we can get 20pence to help out given he’s from scouseland.
What other notable scousers have played for Rovers?

I would be disappointed if Rovers manager did'nt speak to other football people.
It would be strange if he did'nt.

Joey is a football man.
Asked a question he answers comprehensively.
He loves the game.

I wouldn`t be remotely surprised, if you spend eternity stoking the flames of Hell, next to Joey Barton. Repent. Repent.

You disagree about that perhaps but don’t try and cause another argument and imply something that I didn’t say. Hey ho but you’re very good at it I must say. 😉 UTG!

It's you attempting to stir up disagreement. You've set up a contrast between two people, good and bad and attempted to utilise Christianity to demonstrate that Jones was the 'good guy', well go on then, let's have your best evidence to demonstrate why being Christian makes someone a good person. There are very real question marks over whether good people can even be Christian. It will depend whether they've actually studied the texts. If they have they'll have to shut their eyes to all sorts of racism, homophobia, infanticide, genocide, the list goes on, and on. We had this exact same discussion on here about that bloke who was a criminal but then found an invisible friend and became Rovers' Chaplin. So he's swapped crime for irrational beliefs and joined a blood cult with sacrifice at the centre of it's doctrine, are we supposed to respect him for that?

It's just a shame there isn't a Hell for Jerry Falwell to go to. But yes, this is an inescapable problem for me. There's something that I find myself in agreement with Barton on. It's far from comfortable I can assure you.
