I wouldn’t expect Mr Wael to be saying anything. Regardless of this, the guy is not right and it will continue, until he hits rock bottom , then asks for help. Pretending only works to a point. It’s all very sad I don't think that the Fleetwood documentary will do anything but expose some of the ingrained character attributes. Yes, Do you think it could have been timed to be on TV now or am I going into the realms of the conspiracy nuts ?

This was posted on Instagram, not sure the suspended Twitter account was actually her. Oh, my apologies. I've never tried instagram, and I thought the whole @mynameafteranatsign was a Twitter thing. Bloody social media. What a way to discuss criminal allegations about a spouse. Sorry again for the incorrect statement. No need to apologise, I thought it was a Twitter quote myself at first. I'm told that Twitter and FB are for oldies, and Insta is where it's at - ha ha.

Not exactly the best character portrait given the most recent court appearances? Personally, I would have gone back to the Cambridge Union and debated the overlap between Aristotle's philosophy and modern football management.

Is there any chance this could simply be bad journalism? Well the tabloids have all stated the victim to be Georgia B*****, yet the Police statement said 'a woman' at 'a property in Kew', and the late BBC report did not presume this to be Mrs B*****. Former footballer Joey B***** is due in court charged with attacking and injuring a woman. The 38-year-old, who manages League Two side Bristol Rovers, will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on Monday 26 July. He was arrested at an address in Kew on 2 June, bailed pending further enquiries, and subsequently charged. Ambulance crews were not called to the property where the woman was attacked, police said. The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: "Joseph B*****, 38, of Widnes, is charged with assault by beating. "The charge relates to an incident which took place at a residential property in Kew on Wednesday 2 June in which a woman received a head injury". The midfielder played in the Premier League more than 250 times, for teams including Manchester City and Newcastle United. Bristol Rovers said it was unable to comment while legal proceedings were under way. BBC News - Football manager Joey B***** charged with attacking woman www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-57960977Of course newspaper journalists may have ascertained Georgia B***** to be the victim, but we've seen no evidence for this assertion yet.

Guess work coupled with partisan resentment.
We wait for a compendious report on tomorrow's Court proceedings.

Will there be one, or will we be told he spoke only to confirm his name and address. Is anyone on either forum planning to sit in on proceedings?

I would assume your former suggestion is correct, and this will be referred up the court pyramid for trial. Do we have anyone in South West Greater London boroughs? Those I am aware of are North and East of the unholy metropolis.

Rovers have made a statement.
The club is aware of what's happened and due to legal proceedings cannot comment.

In an attempt, I assume, to trump the Sun, the Mail described the Kew address as the family home. It of course quotes the police saying "B*****, of Widnes". How the two are reconciled would take a journalist to explain.

No wonder the wheels of justice grind exceedingly slow.

It will be interesting to see what reaction the fans give JB when we return to the Mem.

If this case is deemed to be less serious than the one we already knew about, then possibly it will be heard in full at the magistrates court. If not, it will presumably be referred to crown court. We'll find out tomorrow. I'm actually surprised this incident has got to court so quickly. I thought the wheels of justice always did grind exceedingly slowly, and due to covid and courts being closed for months I expected that to be even more the case now.

Maybe there is a time limit for them to commence Court proceedings, and doing the name and address confirmation and plea ticks that box for them? Just guessing.

Anyone know if the case is likely to be heard and a verdict passed tomorrow? If the case is referred to a higher court or if the case is deferred to a future date, JB would have to be suspended until such time as a verdict is passed and from the club's pov that would be the worst possible outcome

Can't see anything other than a suspension from duties if that's the case. Tomorrow could well be go ahead Clint, make my day
