Very good. But you missed out No.7 the old professionals having a fag now and again and telling young kids to bu**** off when approached for an autograph. Not all did. I`ve still got the autograph that WG signed for me. What were you doing loafing around the County Ground ? Shouldn't you have been cleaning a chimney or something?

Horses for courses. I really enjoy it. There are a few minor tweaks that I would make though. 1. Both teams to play in white. 2. Games to last five days. 3. Both teams to bat twice. 4. 90 overs to be bowled in a day. 5. Australia not allowed to win. 6. That`ll do. All joking apart, Alice Capsey looks to have a big future in the game. So much talent at the age of 16.

The semi-final game with the Oval Invincibles Women v Birmingham Phoenix Women was an incredible game, Oval were dead and buried with Phoenix on 66-2 and cruising to victory. Then Burns and A.Jones got out in 2 balls which totally changed the game, Phoenix folded and the unlikely Oval team ran out winners.
Then there was the final with Oval Invincibles Women taking on the very much fancied Southern Brave Women, what a game this was, Oval batted first and made a competitive 121-6. The game was over effectively after 30 balls with Southern Brave on 11-5 and ending on 73 all out, Oval Invincibles winning by 48 runs.
I enjoyed all the games i watched, preferred the women's games to the men, enjoyed all the utterings from the many commentators throughout.
I would say the 100 did more to enhance the women's game than the men.

I went to New Road yesterday to watch the ODI between England and New Zealand. Really decent crowd in, to the extent that I had to queue for 30 minutes to get in (only one gate for an estimated 3k crowd probably wasn't that sensible). It was pretty clear in the queue that there were plenty of people visiting New Road for the first time, as well as lots of families in attendance. Begrudgingly, I must admit, I heard loads of families talking about the hundred. I mean you could argue that the blast could have attracted these people with the right support, but I really do think that women's cricket has been a huge beneficiary of the Hundred.
I thought both sides were well below par with the bat. England's middle order were woeful but New Zealand bowled, and fielded really well. Their ground fielding was especially impressive. England just got the job done with the ball despite DLS making life tougher for them.
If you like cricket, and have watched a women's international yet, then I would recommend it.
