Like many gasheads i was initially very pleased with the signings over the last 18 months or so, but things turned out very different
With this season's Dads' Army I'm initially very underwhelmed indeed. But maybe they'll turn out very different too

TBF, League Two is not the place to be blooding youngsters so if this crop of signings can help us get out of it and provide them with a swansong/pension topper in the process then a one-year contract is good business for all parties.
I obviously wish them well, will give them the benefit of the doubt, and hope they can get us back to our natural level of League One.
Welcome aboard the roller coaster Pirates ship Leon, Junior, Antony.

To be fair Jeff, most League 2 clubs play with a lot of youngsters.
I have to be fair to B***** as well, his latest signings are of the quality we haven't seen for years at Rovers.

I guess I was basing my knowledge of League Two on memories that are 25 years out of date. Either way, we probably have a reasonable mix of young and older players now. I just hope B***** has signed capable professional footballers that deliver, not necessarily for his sake but for BRFC.

Leon Clarke has scored 7 league goals in the last 4 seasons. Let's hope for a higher ratio and better fitness from him.

Clarke's been at 18 clubs compared to Ronaldo's four or five. That's beyond journeyman.

Josh Barrett sacked He was only on the calendar for 11 hours.. Joeybag quoted as saying 'it saves the club a bit of money' - so sacked due to fatness/disciplinary issue rather than contract paid up by the sound of it unless the 'bit of money' is the tax saving on £30k redundancy - so Barrel gets the same net as his contract would have provided, and is free to look elsewhere

Tutonda, Ehmer, Baldwin, all sacked, yet free to join other clubs. Barrett paves the way for Whelan hopefully. Barrett was a poor signing, poor attitude. Did we not pay physical money for him?

Josh Barrett sacked He was only on the calendar for 11 hours.. We would of been better off signing a sack of s**t. At least we could of sold that to Forest Green Rovers,to nurture their field of play.
