From said forum: Just a heads up to say that the forum domain name has changed temporarily from Gaschat.co.uk to Gasheads.proboards.com whilst we contact the forums owner to renew the domain for another year. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks for that. Wondered why I was getting popup about enhanced safety. To get that I'd have to give Google access to my search history. Ah, right, ok.....

I have problems accessing it anyway. Malwarebytes says that it has a Trojan virus and won't allow me to access it.

There is an annual cost for the domain name (gasheads.org) plus Proboards (the forum hosts) charge an annual fee to attach that domain name to the forum. These days that cost is covered by eppinggas so I think you all either owe him a beer at some stage or, as per gaschat's idea, a donation to his favourite charity.

Anyone like to second this idea? I don’t want to come over all Ice Age 1, but it’s what you do in herds, isn’t it?

I took things on (well kept what was working, working) from JeffNZ knowing that there would be a cost involved. It's not huge, it's not a problem. As for buying me a beer at some stage - now you're talking...

Don't worry, want nothing in return and certainly don't want to be involved in the running of the site. 😁 Depends which cider. None of yer Strongbow or fruit infused nonsense. (Apples excluded)

(Apples excluded) Strongbow! Good grief! The only decent cider you can get in Essex is Aspalls. The premier cru is excellent, the draft stuff is a bit sweet for my liking. Not a fan of Orchard Thieves. I thoroughly enjoy my cider flavoured trips back to Bristol - Thatchers Dry, Thatchers Traditional, Dry Blackthorn, Natch, Cheddar Valley, Badger's Spit at a push. Not necessarily in that order, but all quite possibly in the same evening.

Is it safe to return to the other forum, or is it still full of spam and v*ruses?
