Surely got one more season in him. Better than what we've currently got. Could fire us to promotion! A really class act who may be too good for Div 4 but would be one of the best players in the division. Maybe the division is too rough and crap for one of his class but it would be refreshing to see a player who knows how to play 'good football' rather than the current 'lot' bring it on!

Too controversial and I’m sure he & Barton would clash,at some period. Never go back

I think Lines would still very much cut it at L2 level.
20 games for Stevenage from Jan says that he is a useful addition. He can still knock it about very well abs I’m sure would add some pride to the dressing room.

I tend to agree with kp on this
Linesey is his own man and, with Joeybag being a thin-skinned bully, I can't see it working
Solution is to get rid of Joeybag and get Linesey back

I saw him playing for Northampton in a cup game at Exeter last season and he was the best player on the pitch.

Based 10 miles north-east of the Memorial Stadium, Yate currently find themselves seventh in the Southern League South Division table and are just three points off of fifth-placed Evesham United with seven games remaining. The Gas hero, who was part of three promotions during his time at the Mem, is also Senior Protection Manager for Umbrella Financial who provide insurance for athletes and has only made three cup appearances for Bath this term, who are pushing for the play-offs themselves in the National League South with just two points separating them and seventh-placed St Albans City. It was a losing start, however, for the 38-year-old over the weekend as he was brought on as a substitute in the 55th minute in a 2-0 defeat away at Frome Town but manager Darren Mullings shared his delight with the experienced capture, saying before the game via the club's website: "I am extremely pleased to be able to bring Chris in on loan from Bath City. He will bring a wealth of experience and of course undoubted quality to our squad. I am looking forward to seeing the impact he will have in the coming weeks." Lines joined Rovers as a youngster in 2004 before making his first-team debut in January 2006 and going on to make 358 appearances for the Gas over the course of three spells with the club, scoring 34 goals During his first period with the club, the midfielder was part of the League Two play-off winning side of 2006/07 before spending four seasons in League One until the club's relegation in 2011 following which he joined Sheffield Wednesday for a reported £50,000. The Bristolian went on to make 47 appearances for the Owls and helped them to promotion to the Championship before a loan spell at MK Dons and then a permanent switch to Port Vale. It was from Vale where Lines re-joined the Gas on loan in 2015 to help them to promotion from the Conference before re-joining permanently that summer and going on to spend another four years at the club which of course also included promotion from League Two the following year.
