I was ok with what you wrote up until...
I respect other people's views that they will support the Board and Mr B***** "whatever".
"I guess some people have a very different perspective to me when it comes to what constitutes a matter of principle.°
Sorry but stop trying to be superior, for want of a better expression.
It is the club that we support, it's the "going to the game" that we miss. After a year of near captivity one aspect of life I miss most.
Have you told the board what you are doing and why?
Wonder if you have ever broken your principles in any way in your life?
Even the simplest law like speed limit?
I'm not trying to be 'superior'. Do I come across as a bit pompous? Yeah - maybe. Do a rile the pro-B***** fan-club? Almost certainly.
I miss watching Rovers (even on iFollow).
I miss actively supporting the Club.
I miss talking to my son about Rovers as it causes too much conflict between us.
I will miss it exponentially more when crowds are allowed back and I won't be there (should Mr B***** still be in-situ).
I will miss meeting up with friends in the Wellie and/or Supporters Club before and after a game.
In the run-up to the appointment I made my feelings perfectly clear to a Board member and how I would react if Mr B***** was appointed.
I was offered the opportunity to meet with Mr B***** personally when Covid-19 restrictions would allow.
I politely declined as a meeting has to have a point. And there is nothing that Mr B***** could say or do that could change my mind. Call me blinkered, stubborn, petty if you like. It's a free country.
This was before the utterly pathetic performances put in by the team after Mr B*****'s appointment and our consequent relegation.
There's a difference between having principles and obeying the law.
I try and do both. I admit to having 3 points on my driving license for doing 33mph in a 30mph area about 20 years ago.
That is pretty much the extent of my 'criminal' past.
Have a good day, Sir.
