You mean Mother Theresa did'nt bash up orphans PHE, not me. 😏 Mind you, orphans can get up to mischief. Here's 3 who were abit naughty. Osama Bin Laden. Saddam Hussein. Adolf Hitler. JB is innocent of the charges against him until proven guilty. That's how we do it,is'nt it. His appointment and reaction from some Gasheads, offers us an example of why we stopped hanging. An innocent person might swing. Haha, sorry about the typo Basel, You are correct Steve but his previous convictions and his pending assault charge were enough for me to decide he was a bad un and not suitable for Bristol Rovers FC. I'm wondering when, and if, Wael will realise that the Pope is, in fact, a Roman Catholic

Maybe to make a comparison choose someone who wasn't completely insane and deliberately inflicted untold suffering on unwell and dying people who came to her at their time of greatest need? All done with the blessing of the Catholic church. Truly disgusting. Whether you believe in his existence and miracles etc or not! Is Jesus kind enough for you? I didn't introduce the poisonous Albanian dwarf Bas, if you want to do theology we have a section for that, but very briefly, some pretty daft things are attributed to the Jesus character in the King James Bible. But sure, his entire over-arching philosophy is bad, very bad. He promotes the notion that you must accept an unalterable, unchallengeable, tyrannical authority, that can convict you of thought crime while you are asleep, who must subject you to total surveillance, every moment of your life, and of course before you were born, then where the real fun begins, after you are dead, it's a celestial North Korea, but at least you can die and leave North Korea, no such luck with the Heaven Jesus wants us to believe in, can you imagine eternity living in those conditions? But there's a barrier to entry to this Heaven, you have to play by certain rules and accept this person claiming to be the Son of the creator of the universe as your personal saviour, or you are going to be punished and tormented with the most unimaginable horrors for all eternity. Sound kind to you?

Organised religion is pure evil I'm afraid Bas. But I'll bat this question back to you, based on what I've written above, how does that sit with your moral values?

One of the kindest looking people I can remember was Terry Hall the ventriloquist behind Lenny the Lion who's catchphrase was "Aw, don't embawass me". But he was an Oldham Athletic supporter so I don't know whether he would come to manage Rovers even if he was still alive.

So,Mother Teresa and Jesus are not good enough, intfact they're are allegedly right b'stards. Hmm,what about Olivia Walton? The Mother in the Waltons. Surely she was at least quite nice and therefore kind enough to manage Rovers?

I guess that if Jesus applies to be Rovers' manager we could give him an interview, just in case nobody better steps forward.

I see the JB stay or go poll is about 50 50 still.
Don't know if this is significant.

Haven't we had a divided fanbase for many years though? There have always seemed to be different factions regarding the various incumbents of the Boardroom, for almost as long as I can remember.

We need a Gashead referendum. Bar-exit! Seriously it is a shame, but even when we were challenging with GC,some were unhappy. For the record i suspect GC was about to win the unhappy over and 8000 at the Mem could of been. I remember walking onto the away section at the Manor Ground,Ox and being 'encouraged' to sign a petition to sack Terry Cooper i think. The 'civil war' at your time on the Board. Etc.

We definitely agree on Coughlan now. Sustaining that challenge would have won us over. Wish he'd stayed.

Basel, I am one of those that get you and respect you. Your support for most new managers and club leaders is admirable and I know it comes from your desire for the club to succeed. I was watching from afar when GC was getting slaughtered for challenging for a play off or even an automatic promotion place. I think most were still struggling with the departure of DC and that is why they wouldn't accept GC even though he was taking the team to another level. Sacking Terry Cooper was stupid :-) as was appointing Paul Tisdale who was never going to be a success at Rovers despite his massive success down here in Devon setting up a sustainable football club after administration. The B***** appointment has been the most divisive in the clubs history and some people are wounded that despite them wanting him to have a fresh start he has let himself and those supporting him down. There is a time bomb ticking and those who are paid to lead the club for Wael have disappeared. Bartons record has been poor on the pitch and now he has two court cases hanging over him including one involving domestic violence against his wife. There is no way I could support that sort of individual given his past convictions and actions but as you say 50% of the clubs supporters do so maybe BRFC is no longer the club for me. Take care and stay safe.
