just listening now - it's the ref again 'there's a real agenda against us', 'due to poor officials making poor decisions, we've nothing to show' 'it makes you think about conspiracy theories, about whether there's something bigger at play' oh dearie! but also, 'you live and die by your recruitment in this division'. Just to keep the pressure on Widders.. This is why I'm becoming more and more convinced that he's actually rather simple minded. This isn't the first time that he's made mutually exclusive statements. What is it B*****, the recruitment or the officials? The sad thing is there will be droves of fans and Sam Frost now convinced there’s a conspiracy against us. And one or two posters on here who don’t believe there is a conspiracy are not real fans. Boohiss

There is more emotional investment in him than any other manager because of who he is. The people who are right behind him desperately want him to come good so they can gloat and Lord it over people who didn’t want him on moral grounds. Those people will be turning to conspiracy theories rather than face the truth that he’s a bit of a bang average manager who, whilst having crap players, subs off players playing well whilst keeping faith in ones who bring a net negative to the team. Boo hiss!

I had this awful dream last night where I was walking to the mem to watch Joey B*****’s rovers and people starting booing me and throwing sweets at me.
Then I realised this must just be a bad dream. There’s no way I’d be walking to the mem to watch Joey B*****’s rovers

If not toxic then maybe boring with some saying the same things over and over again. In fairness, I have popped on in the past 5 days and it’s a much nicer place than when I last used to post on there. Many are not fans of Joe

He’ll be ok when it comes to referees. Because Me and Mikey Jones We got a thing Going on We both know that it’s wrong But it’s much too strong To let it go now We’ve got to be extra careful That we don’t build our hopes up high Cause he’s got his own obligations And so do I Meeeeeeeeeeee and Mikey, Mikey Jones, Mikey Jones

Boohiss “Put the Twitter followers together and the media mentions and we are bigger than Bristol City now!” Proper Gasheads don’t think like that. takes two to tango. I’ll never forgive them or forget what utter idiots they’ve been. Even their unborn kids. In the Great Schism they were a Bartonite family. They got Joey in their blood now and always will.

This is a large part of the problem. This demonstrates that, no matter what, referees are correct. So what's the point of not speaking out publicly about the dire standard. 'The referee has to be supported'. No he doesn't. He's being paid to do a job, and the consequences of him getting things incorrect, being so unfit that he needs to slow the game down, 'creating talking points' etc etc etc etc etc etc etc are that professional footballers and employees of football clubs and people in the supply chain to those clubs either lose their jobs or suffer financially.

" It's a matter of paying the bills and mortgage to many players and club staff, so should be taken seriously and the outcome of games shouldn't rest of blokes who are often several stone overweight and have to give decisions that don't exist to slow things up so that they can catch their breath.

Not enough time.
From the Sunderland & Doncaster programme: "Unfortunately, given that we have a game every three or four days, we don't have the time to do the work on the training ground that we would like."
I'm looking forward to see how we do after a 6 day break.

Then we have to drive all the way back, so write off the Donny game as well.

One more home defeat if it's Donny MK Dons or Crewe will set a new club record of 12. We did 11 in 1947,1992 and now.

Totally different circumstances now with no crowds I am sure if fans were there we would not have lost so many home matches

There's a time and place for matching up opponents, there's a time for evoking change....the same with use of substitutions. JAB results have been abysmal, there's no getting away from that. Some of the excuses (imo) are bordering on abysmal too, but I think there are elements of truth in his post match comments. JAB cannot keep deflecting blame on officials as I just don't think that's the overriding reason why we aren't winning matches under his tenure. They sometimes are contributing factors, but if we had converted our chances, and not conceding, we wouldn't be in our predicament (v Accrington JAB still skated the refereeing to give himself breathing space for the next time he needed to complain imo).. Why can't someone ask what mistakes he's made in team selections since he's been here?
