www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39720232So Joey blamed his ban from football from the FA for 10 years of illegal betting on a culture created by the FA themselves of which he was a victim, to a crescendo of support on Twitter. A circular argument which disappears up its own arse, much like our current relegation battle I think the addiction to gambling might be a clue to the reason for the excuses - as a gambler knows it makes no sense and does harm, but can't stop himselfSounds a bit like us supporting Rovers..... the harm is done to me by my good lady when she says 'told you so' after having warned me about logging onto ifollow to watch a game telling me they will only lose.... yet again!

I think the addiction to gambling might be a clue to the reason for the excuses - as a gambler knows it makes no sense and does harm, but can't stop himself So what does he do? Moves to a club who have had Football Index and Mintbet as sponsors recently. That's how you show The FA that you are serious about what you said about them not upholding their responsibilities. Honestly, B***** is a bit of an idiot sometimes, but in fairness to him, it's mostly only when he's either doing something or saying something. While all EFL clubs are sponsored by Sky Bet!

So a percentage of his salary will be coming from that sponsorship. It's hard to think that he's short of money, so he needs to decide what's most important to him, his morals or working for a poorly run L1 club with rubbish facilities, a culture set up for failure, a poor squad who aren't motivated and aren't fit, having to make unreasonable journeys to away grounds and be subjected to sub-standard officials etc etc etc etc...

I used to really like this forum. Toxic!!!! + 1 There's a lot of Anti-B***** sentiment on here, but anybody is welcome to put forward a defence of the bloke and try to convince others that they have things wrong. The thing about it is, there was something similar about him on the other forum a while back, when he joined Fleetwood. So if the definition of 'toxic' is applying the same standards to Rovers as people do to other clubs then I guess we are guilty.

You should have seen the comments on Gaschat after the alleged Barnsley manager incident with one of the Gaschat Mods calling him "Scum." None as fickle as a football fan.

It's a shame that a couple of people are branding the entire forum as toxic, I want to hear from everybody, on every subject.

There are a few who have shown themselves up as poachers turned gamekeeper over B***** and with no shred of shame they will turn back into poachers when B***** leaves. It will be wall to wall shouts of “thug!” and “shame on you!” from people who were telling us he was a reformed character just weeks previous. Imagine if B***** joined City 😂

Nah, Lansdown has higher standards. Not every day that you hear compliments about the standards of someone who booked The Spice Girls to play a summer concert at his stadium, especially as they are all more like The Spice Middle Aged Gals these days.

If not toxic then maybe boring with some saying the same things over and over again.

just listening now - it's the ref again
'there's a real agenda against us', 'due to poor officials making poor decisions, we've nothing to show'
'it makes you think about conspiracy theories, about whether there's something bigger at play'
oh dearie!
but also, 'you live and die by your recruitment in this division'. Just to keep the pressure on Widders..

If B***** complains about the referee every single week, does complaining about B***** complaining about the referee every single week count as repetitive and boring?

Bless him, he thinks he’s a master psychologist. He’s trying two things here:
Deflect blame from his own performance and possibly protect the players too.
Put the idea in the ref’s minds that they shouldn’t penalise Rovers otherwise if they do they are fuelling the conspiracy.
Expect this conspiracy stuff to be a long running theme - more defeats and it will change soon to being a conspiracy against him because refs are biased against him because of his media profile.

Just to keep the pressure on Widders.. This is why I'm becoming more and more convinced that he's actually rather simple minded. This isn't the first time that he's made mutually exclusive statements. What is it B*****, the recruitment or the officials?
