if we do go down...
would Relegation be a financial nightmare for our club? would it lead to disruption of another team rebuild over the summer?
should disruption of big team rebuild over summer be welcomed whether we stay or drop?
if they didn’t get it right in the last 3 windows, and they remain in denial about that, can we trust the same people to get rebuild right in the coming windows

The financial situation won’t be helped by all you B***** Outers withholding your support both actual and financial from the club.
Still, I expect you consider it a price worth paying if the club collapses and you get your wish that B***** leaves.
Nero fiddling in the flames comes to mind.

Not sure what the purpose of this thread is apart from giving the opportunity for some to state what they have stated before.
The full impact of covid is also influential, when will full attendance be allowed, etc etc.

You got the Nero bit right Towngas : Not only did Nero play music while his people suffered, but he was an ineffectual leader in a time of crisis.

The financial situation, should we be relegated, will be a direct result of both the pandemic which we have no control over and the appalling decisions made at board level, DOF, CEO and above. What we are witnessing now on the pitch is exactly what Paul Tisdale told us we had, a team of triers who just aren't good enough. As for Joey B*****, hopefully the courts and then the EFL can rid us of this odious character. I certainly wouldn't want the team to be relegated to achieve this as he will achieve it for himself.

Loss of face is the biggest thing Wael will struggle with if the club gets relegated, he does fancy himself as a bit of a football expert, look at all those football panels he enjoys sitting on at football conferences. He won't look to clever with a relegation on his cv as something of a futuristic self proclaimed football strategic planner. Can see B***** being taken care of by the courts, Starnes and Widdrington being thrown under a bus and taking the blame for the Garner appointment and Wael blaming the pandemic for his withdrawal from the club and putting it on the market. What a mess, it could set the club back years, what a legacy to leave behind.

What can we say today though about impact on finances?
For an agent to demand a fee for doing f all is not illegal. The size of these payments for doing zilch are bonkers, but not illegal. Add to that signing on fee’s, wages, bonuses, options for another year and wage rise even if you have played crap, leave for zilch if you relegate us. Have to be sharp in these negotiations and prepared to walk away? Because if you are a mug you can really get stung?
Others chased and were favourite for some of these players. Certainly assembling this relegation squad and funding this relegation season has cost money, but is it clear whose money is being wasted? Is it owner throwing it into a fire, or the people making the awful decisions doing it with other peoples money, going to charge it back to the club in club debt?
Do we know for sure?

I think there are parachute payments when you drop from championships to L1, and it’s quite a big money drop from the EFL/tv payout. Likewise if you drop out the league into the conference? But not that great a difference if you drop from L1 to L2?
Covid clouds clearly seeing what is going on financially? but if it does go away for next season, we can anticipate some bumper attendances, or stay away due to covid fears?

If we do go down, are we 100% agreed it was crap decisions made?
If so, would us fans know how the crap decisions were made so what the LFE is?
The appointment of Tommy as the DOF. Is he any good at that role? Are we filling key roles properly, with short lists and proper questions at interviews, and looking over references?

You mean like this one www.coliseum-online.com/committee/wael-al-qadi/I don't know whether it is a bad joke or a slap in the face ? But many Gasheads will say it shows Wael is actively working on this project and making all the right global contacts to ensure we will soon get our new or redeveloped stadium. Until they realise this was posted in 2018.

It's not over till Joey B sings
Optimistic and keen to turn us around Clint Hill needs to sort defence out and Joey needs Hanlan Daly Ayunga scoring.
Impressed with McCormick despite his error last night.
Oztumer needs bringing back in midfield.
What's happened to Ogogo?
Rodman looks good getting fitter.
What's happened to Joe Ledley?

“Well Starnes did say when GC left they wanted the club to go in a different direction, and they’ve delivered”
Did he really say that? What is the actual quote?
I always thought it was family reasons. But if that quotes right, and cocko’s quote “taken them far as I can” is right, and it was right on cusp of a window, maybe we should think the three stooges have destroyed us chasing a pipe dream? That they could have backed Cocko? 😕

If we go down, what’s your wished for retained list from this lot?
I think
Leahy (c) Anssi Nicholson Westbrook Grant Hare
If McCormick wanted to be permanent, obviously there would be whomping sell on, but what do you think the actual fee would be?

What's happened to Joe Ledley? get Hanlan scoring, yes. Answers on a postcode. For the other two he needs to get them on the pitch first! Rodman is working his way back to fitness so shows up a lot more. He was box to box yesterday, almost centrally, was that what was asked of him? Surely we need him further forward because that is where he will impact/finish things?

I thought ogogogo was injured and out for the season? Ledley was never our player and only rumoured to be training with us intermittently. I think we are already relegated, it's just a matter of time before it's confirmed. I also think the mistakes won't be learned (because they haven't been this season) and we'll face an uncertain future next season too..

Ledley played in the development game for 60 mins yesterday according the Sam Frost but is way off being match fit according to the same reporter.
