Well, on the plus side Rovers didn't get the easy win that I was worried may paper over the cracks. Secondly, I am very unlikely to spend another tenner this season. I thought Rovers were the better side and didn't deserve to lose, but bearing in mind we were up against a side in total freefall, that really isn't saying much.
If Barton can turn it around I will be mightily impressed.
And WTF was Ayunga doing giving away a soppy free kick like that!

I was going to comment how nice it was to see us concentrating at corners, with 2 players out to mark...
1st goal: Poor corner really, second cross into the box, we had time to mark up, but Leahy is left with 3 players to mark at the back post.
2nd goal: A player unmarked from a free-kick. Plenty of Rovers players marking no one at all. Day again defeated at his near post.

Mediocrity both on the field with such poor quality (thanks BG) and off with the worst ground out of the whole 92.Not sure why I follow the GAS but I do so I have to endure this torment.Even Covid won't stop us going down now and sadly we deserve to playing like that

Off the field sounds like a crowded shambles.
WAQs naive dream of bringing on youngsters improve,sell ,bring on more great youngsters,improve,get promoted,sell etc looks like a naive sack of useless day dreams.

All this after the promotion challengers of the GC era dismantled.

That's about as frustrating as it gets.... credit to Wigan, strong in defence, bided their time and took their chances that we perennially supply to away teams, especially on set pieces.
JB, you saw it a tonight...our season in a nutshell...godawful defending, a smart finish from a bright young prospect....huff and puff with no final outcome and a dodgy keeps that just won't come off his line.
I'm not singling out individuals, it's not fair.... obviously the Burnley connection got Akioke the sub gig, but I saw the same as every match involved.... ball goes across their goal - ball watch .... ball goes across our goal - ball watch.

Shooting way way way off target.
I give credit for JB sub change for formation, it appeared to work. It worked so well it forced them into matching us. But individually and collectively, too many unforced errors cost is a heavily valued match and I see this as a huge nail in coffin of our 3rd division status if this can't be turned around.
Simply not good enough, after some nice approach play that didn't work.

If he continues to hit stats like that until the rest of the season we'll almost certainly be safe from relegation as that will be over 30 points accrued... The first 3 tonight, please!
