Traditionally i always pick a team right at the start to follow the road to wembley!! this Year i randomly chose .... Badshot Lea FC ( which sounds like something you shout at a player rather than an actual football club) anyone else follow a path from day 1 ? Heres to a cup run for Badshot untill a game against the gas !! www.pitchero.com/clubs/badshotlea/s/match-centre-1463/0-2461809

Go on then I will pick a team. Obviously I would like the locals to do well, but how can anyone resist a fixture like Thurnby Nirvana v Lincoln Moorfields Railway. I will be cheering on the home team, who as I'm sure you know, play at Dakyn Road in Thurnby Lodge.

As secretary of my local football club, Welwyn Garden City FC, I shall be at Herns Way in about an hour to cheer the lads on, unbeaten so far this season, for 14 against 1. Watch out BRFC we are coming to get ya!!! And. we have a proper club house which never runs out of beer and cooks food to order, and we have patio decking and and and, we have trees around the pitch.....capacity...god knows, but we own the freehold
Welwyn Garden City Vs Hadley 3pm kick off
Hope I haven't jinxed them

THe mighty Badshot Lea are actually good shots!! 3 - 0 winners over Binfield
Badshot Lea defied the pundits by knocking Hellenic League, Binfield out of the FA Cup in today's Extra Preliminary Round in convincing style. The Moles, who opened their league account seven days ago with a 6-1 demolition of Wooton Bassett, and followed up on Monday night with a 2-3 reversal against Oxford City Nomads, started the game with the more experienced lineup. The early pressure came from the visitors, with The Lea pushed back in their own half for the opening 20 minutes, unable to cross the halfway line for more than a few passes. Gradually the Baggies gained ground, with Pearson and Castello penetrating down the flanks, supported by Pilgrim & Fogarty. On 41 mins Castello dispossessed Withers. His searching cross was turned in by Baggies veteran Brad Smith, forcing his way past Callaway and Suarez to score from five yards.
In the second period, the Moles introduced fresh legs, but the back line of Parrott, MOTM Nimmo, Hutchings and Siemak stood firm - denying Davies and Dickens any time on the ball. Such was The Lea's defensive strength, that the Moles were limited to only a handful of goal chances, capably dealt with by experienced stopper Matt Watson, playing against his former club. On 73 mins Pearson drove a thunderbolt from 25 yds through a crowded penalty area, and the ball zipped into the corner of the onion bag. The Baggies sustained their pressure, winning a string of corners, one resulting in an opportunity on the edge of the box for Howard. The energetic midfielder, struck a volley superbly goal bound, with stopper Weait grasping air as the ball ripped into the top of the net on 84 mins.
With several minutes remaining, Lea subs Amadieu and McCallum chased down every loose ball. Skipper Pilgrim and the resilient Fogarty - battling like tigers for 90 minutes, continued their domination of central areas. On the final whistle, Binfield were gracious in defeat, and Badshot Lea wish the Moles success for the rest of the season. Meanwhile Trevor Norris's side now face a visit to CCL local rivals Knaphill in the next round. The Knappers, victors over Fairford today. The Prelim. Round match taking place on Saturday 30th August.
MOTM: Calum Nimmo
BAGGIES - Watson, Parrott, Nimmo, B.Hutchings, Siemak, Pilgrim (C), Fogarty, Pearson, Howard, Castello (McCallum 85), Smith (Amadieu 75). Subs not used: Tubridy, Hardy, Easey, D.Hutchings, Short (GK)
MOLES: Weait, Broome, Clayton (Suarez 28), Callaway, Whitty (C), Withers, Broome (Howell 72), Johnson, Davies, Dickens, Bowerman (Wing 62). Sub not used: Rowland

Yep Bloody silly mistake in the first 5 mins, even first half and then completely dominant performance in the 2nd. Decent crowd and gate money and busy club house with good bar sales, ably aided and abetted by myself

I think what we need here are more 'obvious' stats, like the name of Thurnby Nirvan's home ground, which of course we all knew about ;-) Is it too late to join the party? (although I can't make any games due to football and work commitments

Yate To....Wait...They lost to Dorchester Town 2-1!
Dorchester have since beaten Abingdon United (2-1) and have Hendon this Saturday at home!
As you're all aware, Dorchester Town were formed 3 years before the mighty Gas! They play at The Avenue Stadium, and the capacity is 5,009, and with their links with AFC Bournemouth, they have had players such as Harry Redknapp play for them!
Up the Magpies!

The FA Cup Draw:
FA Cup draws will return to Mondays in a new evening slot on the BBC for the 2014-15 season.
The first-round draw will come from the National Football Centre at St George's Park in front of a live audience on Monday, 27 October.
Mark Chapman will present the coverage from 19:00-19:30 GMT on BBC Two and Radio 5 live, and you can also follow the draw on the BBC Sport website.
This season, BBC Sport will take the FA Cup draws live on the road from different venues across the country throughout the season, including a few surprise locations.
Forty ties will be drawn in this first round, as 48 clubs from League One and League Two join the non-league teams who have battled their way through qualifying.

Dorch stuffed Hendon and as we now know its the Mighty BRFC for them, My lot Had a right result against Sutton , so its on to Dartford away for BURGESS HILL TOWN
Rex's Mickelover run is over (lost 1-2 to Blyth) so its onto Blyth Spartans - who play away to Leek town Oldies Aveley lost out to Devon Minnows Willand Rovers 3-2 the reward for the devonians is Home tie with either Gosport or maidenhead
