I doubt Eddie Howe would take it, but he might fancy the challenge of taking another unfashioable club with a loyal fan base up the leagues......

What a load of old bollocks, he lost too many matches with no sign of long term improvement, it really is that simple. Let's not forget he came highly recommended by those who had worked with him incl Lambert and Pulis, but as we have seen he is a better coach than a manager. Have we seen that? Lots of people are saying this but is it actually true? It might well be - you assume has has something about him. But I don't think we can realistically claim that we saw any of this.
I agree that Rovers should take a while and do a proper recruitment process. But it also needs our current lords and masters to have a bit of a rethink about how they want to go forward. Ie. Do we continue with this general approach of developing potentially talented cheap talent and aiming to move out from there or do we go for a bit more balance of youth and experience? I'd like to see at least a bit of an adjustment. I don't think the overall strategy is neccesarily that bad an idea but I think we convinced ourselves we could go all in on promising young ex-prem Under 23 talent and I think that's a questionable assumption.
Until they've decided what their vision is they shouldn't even begin the recruitment process because if they want to go with a 'Garner but better' option that will immediately disqualify a whole host of viable candidates who you'd assume wouldn't be interested unless they could bring in a bit of experience to bolster this squad.

His next job will be at a bigger club than Bournemouth znd he will have earned that right.

I listened to 2 hours of EFL Podcast on Paul Tisdale.
A unique guy in today's football. Well worth a listen. No great ego, a pragmatist and business-oriented.
Be interested in what Philton thinks on Tisdale.
The problem with him is that Rovers supporters prefer a "heart and soul" manager, hence why DC was so popular.
Cook wants a Championship Club, so there would be no long-termism there.
I do find it a co-incidence that we fire him a week after Walsall game. I wonder if DC gave Wael some game management insight post match.
Really surprised that Hargreaves has not declared an interest.

Irish "Do we continue with this general approach of developing potentially talented cheap talent and aiming to move out from there or do we go for a bit more balance of youth and experience?" But has this not happened? We have an international goalie, Ehmer who is an established L1 centre back, ditto for Baldwin, Nicholson, Scot Premier & MLS, Oztumer established L1 midfielder, Upon in the Squad, Leahy in the squad. Little is still with us. Seems we have that balance.

Ramalingam Thyagraj is out of a job, has the right background. "Ramalingam Thyagraj's Blue & White Army" rolls off the tongue.

Tisdale 1/5 I'm told.
Great at Team Bath. Very good at Grecians. Flop at MK Dons. Worked with youngish players alot I think. Plays passing game.
Quite the dandy.

Tisdale played in same team as Widdrington at Southampton in 1996. Interesting angle.
The Fans Trust served him 18 months' notice at Exeter, but he stilled carried on and got to 2 playoff finals.
He is calm and wouldn't be seen dead in the Queen Vic. Some fans will find him passionless. He won't wave a lot!!! I will find him sartorially elegant, a Ted Baker to Ben's TK Maxx. He will find the banal questions of Radio Bristol monotonous.
Seriously, his philosophy is respect the business environment in which you operate develop your own players, build a team environment, but you have to win football games first and foremost.
A very interesting guy. Not sure about the club fit, but temperament wise he will get on with Wael.

OK, if he can show a steely edge to the players when required......

Widdrington 3-1 and Flynn 8-1. Careful putting money on with them mind... I'm still waiting for them to pay out on the Democrats winning Michigan & Pennsylvania...
