His family are here, so there's a chance.
I didn't realise how shambolic city had become, no manager, possibly appointing from within and if they don't they have left an external appt so long he won't be able to get his own players until Jan. No kit, no pre season friendlies (although with their later season maybe that's an unfair crit) and a non existent PR dept.
I can't recall the post printing a false story and a player (who's on holiday) having to come out and correct it before, plus no official statement from the club.

Seems pretty chaotic over there, but ultimately who gives a toss. I care. I saw BC1982 at Ashton Gate as a neutral a few times before I first saw BRFC at the Memorial Ground (late nineties before the end had a roof) as a Gashead. I remember them getting promoted, leaving us in the third division, before we'd ever disgraced ourselves with fourth division or conference status. I'd love to reach the second division partly to beat BC1982 home and away (also to see Rovers at better football and stadia) for a laugh. No obsessions, but we still ought to chase them down.

Ye, I care.
They appear to be less prepared for championship footie than anytime I can recall, which could lead to relegation or at least not a promotion push. Esp with an owner having to finance footie, rugby and basketball with limited spectators. Im expecting rovers to put in a promotion challenge, imagine if City got relegated!!!!!

Injured most of the last 2 seasons so just the sort of player we would usually sign. Watch all our games with mark little.

Interesting. I have never been neutral, but living on the south side during my childhood most of my friends were City fans. I used to go to Ashton with them on occasion, away travel being way beyond our family means. I was and am entirely ambivalent about their performance and position. I only get pissed off / happy with Rovers results, since 1963. A fact which in itself is a bit ridiculous, but still true. So for me they are just another team to beat in our relentless progress. Ahemmmmmm

Of course, no manager could possibly be successful in his first appointment. Oh, hang on a minute...............

Yes it is a strange one isn’t it? They seem so far ahead of us on so many levels but..... 1. A very good season by us and we could be playing in the same division as them. Or 2. A very bad season by them and we could be playing in the same division as them. Or 3. A very good season by us and a very bad season by them could see us playing in a division above them. Or 4. The status quo remains. All very hypothetical but if someone had said Wycombe would win promotion this season I suspect they’d have been laughed at. Football’s a strange game at times. Not saying it will happen but I have seen stranger things. UTG!

Why spend £50 mil a season on writing off losses, but not spend an extra few £1000 a week on a manager who has got championship clubs to the prem. Don't normally have an interest in City but nice to see them looking less pro than Rovers.

I don't like the name of this thread How about those poor unfortunates with a deadly mango allergy, suffering walking past the fashionable smoothies in waitrose. Then they get to the yogurt section. Finally stumbling home they reach for solace on gasheads.org and then your username pops up.

Mine is Mangotsfield not fruit

They start planning away days at Anfield and Old Trafford, we check the map to see exactly where Harrogate is.
