Hi all, Our latest chat with episode has gone live, where we sit down and talk with former Rovers vice-captain Adam Virgo. Chatting with Adam pretty much changed my whole perspective on his time at Bristol Rovers, as I didn't realise that he was often playing in severe pain, despite not being medically cleared - just to try and keep the club in League 2. Some of the stories and revelations are quite shocking. In an incredibly interesting and revealing chat, Adam lifts the lid on working under Paul Buckle, and where it all went wrong for Rovers in the 2011/12 season. He also talks about a horrendous knee injury that ultimately forced him to retire from the game completely. Adam discusses Mark McGhee’s reign, why it didn’t work out for the Scotsman, and playing up front at AFC Wimbledon despite being in unbearable pain. listen.gascastpodcast.co.uk/276671/3490903-a-chat-with-adam-virgoAs always, feedback and comments are welcome. We're still doing our best to put out as much content as we can during lockdown, and we want it to be as good as can be.

I suspected Adam knew his injury (was it a knee?) was worse than he let on and Rovers were a soft touch for a final pay day.
I went to our 4 0 slaughter at Priestfield.Gills attack went through our defence like a hot knife through butter (spreadable sort!).On the brightside it was a lovely day, sunbathing on Gills open away stand and I was a different colour at FT than I was at KO.
I wish him well in his media career.

Matt looked like he was the only player who was actually bothering that game until limping off. An utterly clueless, gutless performance from Rovers that day.
