Looks a decent player to me.Cultured left foot,a real passing CH that reads the game.
A neat and tidy home debut.
I think he played a few games in the Dutch top division (if not then second tier) and I imagine he did'nt look out of place.
We're lucky to have him, but I suppose there's only eleven in each team and so the top two tiers can't have all the good uns.All decent players need first team football.I think credit to BG (or someone Rovers) Cian was happy to sign for us.
I gave him his own thread because last nights Sunderland game was more or less the first time I've actually seen some solid evidence of the Ben Garner thing.
Hmmm.

Showed ability but worryingly got involved with Sunderland forward off the ball and had the linesman spotted it could well of been sent off. Garner clearly saw incident and was far from happy about it.

Swansea fans I know said we did well to get him

It was good he stood up to an experienced player in only his second league game. That tells me he has something about him. Lafferty is very experienced but he looked out of control last night and would have been sent off I think if he’d stayed on. That’s why he was substituted at ht. Well done Harries very good home debut. I also thought Daly looked ok when he came on. UTG!

The Welsh fans who watched him on hooky streams for the Dutch team he played for said he wasn’t that good. Sounded a bit like his debut for us where he was diving in all over the place. They also seemed to think he wasn’t great at the physical aspects of being a central defender. He did ‘so well’ that they sent him back in January and that was how we were able to get hold of him. That was a top tier Dutch side though so that has to be taken into account. So I’m a bit sceptical with getting in a centre back who is known for his ability to pass more than jump. Espeically in a physical league like ours.

Espeically in a physical league like ours. Not seen him so can't comment on relative qualities but I would say that our squad did desperately need a more mobile centre back who is more comfortable on the ball whoever the manager is. Options were a bit one paced back there.
What I'm worried about is that the club will probably want to move Craig on at the end of the season. You'd assume he's on good money. That sets alarm bells ringing. The last 2 occasions in League 1 that we have let our most experienced and physically imposing centre back leave the club (Tilson and Elliot) and were on good money we failed to replace them adequately and got relegated the next season. Both went on to play another couple of seasons after leaving us. The lesson is surely that you don't scrimp with your best players in that position even if you think their best is behind them and they cost a bit.

Early days, lots of us thought Broadbent was the answer, and he's doing what now?

He was a bag of sh!te v Southend. Clumsy, definitely at fault for the first goal and out of place generally.
Too early to say for me..

I only listened on the radio but it sounded exactly like the Wales fans had said- he likes diving in recklessly a lot. Mind you I expect picking up young players with bad habits (like fat lad) means we get them cheap and the whole point is to iron them out into a quality player. Given how many young players don’t make it though we have definitely got our work cut out trying to make a policy like that work.

I think it was more he was likely to be sent off, but to me that's abdicating the issue not managing it, Parkinson has to eyeball the so called big name player and tell him he has to play better and with better discipline, it gave us a lift.

Whatever people heard on the radio harries played well last night against lafferty, semenyo and wyke who are fine players. So well done to him and the whole team. Regarding new players daly gave a good cameo making driving runs down the left wing when he came on and loan signing mitchell-lawson caused plenty of problems with his lightning pace and amazing work rate.
