Surely someone who, if he wants it, should be retained in the backroom when he retires (hopefully not for a year or 2 yet)... Similar to Mansell and Mildenhall (who I know has since moved on)... For all I know he might not want to stay but if he does we don't want all that experience walking out the door

I'll second that. Fantastic signing, that I failed to realise at the time. Tone nearly went to Billericay - I would venture for more money as Glen Tamplin was still bank-rolling them at the time. If I was going to buy a pint for someone in the playing squad - I think Millwall Tone would be first in line.

It seemed such a dull and uninspired signing when it was first announced, yet with every game he plays it appears to be a masterstroke.
