The History Group next open meeting is WEDS 11 DECEMBER at the Wellington Pub, Horfield Common 7-9pm all welcome.
Advance Notice: Our group is planning another History Day on SAT 14 MARCH 2020 before the Ipswich Town match in the Supporters Club Bar at the Mem 1230-230pm.
We are combining with the long established Ipswich Town History Group to remember the past matches between both Clubs including the infamous FA Cup match in the snow at Eastville in 1978.The controversial Bobby Gould disallowed goal which changed the history of the Cup. We have invited Bobby and Russell Osman who played for Town that day plus a few other former Rovers players such as Peter Aitken, Phil Bater, Paul Randall and Graham Day.
We are also celebrating the career and life of the late Stuart Taylor and hoping to raise money in his memory for Dementia UK. We have already raised over £200 so far.
