Amanda-Jade Wellington's unbeaten 33 from 26 balls saw Originals over the line with one ball remaining. Hollie Armitage earlier hit 46 from 43 balls as Superchargers posted 107-8. The defeat means Superchargers stay second and two points behind leaders Southern Brave with one game left. They are already assured of a top-three finish along with Brave, with the team finishing in top spot progressing directly to next week's final. Originals were already eliminated but their second win of the tournament moves them up to fifth. Match Hero, Manchester Originals all-rounder Kathryn Bryce: "It was a stressful end, it is never calm when you've got a runner out there! Nobody ever practices it so it is all a bit of entertainment. "We had a couple of tough games to start with the rain and close losses, but we know we are building something and wanted a couple of strong performances to finish off the tournament. "Sophie [Ecclestone] is such a big player for us and her to go down was a loss so to take more responsibility on my shoulders was great."

The leg-spinner, who only joined Originals on Saturday, claimed 5-11 as Superchargers were dismissed for 83. That was 81 runs short of the 164-6 posted by Originals, underpinned by Jos Buttler's 75 from 47 balls. Originals are up to second in the table and will reach the knockouts if they beat Southern Brave on Wednesday. Superchargers, who have now lost four of their six completed games, cannot qualify for the knockouts and end their campaign at home to Welsh Fire on Tuesday. Match hero Calvin Harrison: "It was great to be back among the guys and be back in the tournament. It's been unbelievable so far. It was nice to get a win first game back in. "We're definitely picking up momentum going into a crucial stage. It was a big two games for us, this one and the next one to finish off the group. "I saw this as a great opportunity. It was disappointing to miss out at the beginning but to come back in and get back out on this stage and do what I'm doing is great. "I didn't even realise it was the best figures in Hundred history - excellent!"

The England batter struck 68, putting on a brisk stand of 75 for the opening wicket with Tammy Beaumont, as Fire posted an impressive 161-4. Richa Ghosh and Heather Knight shared 68 for the fourth Spirit wicket before Dunkley dismissed both within one set. Spirit continued to lose steady wickets as they fell 23 runs short in Cardiff. Second-placed Fire have now guaranteed their place in the knockouts, while Spirit remain seventh. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/12F43/production/_130853677_gettyimages-1627538852.jpgMatch hero Sophia Dunkley: "We're just playing brave cricket all the way through. Finals can be nervy but we'll try and stick to our guns and play like we have all the way through the tournament. We want to keep the momentum going. "It was a hard decision to sit out of England's series against Sri Lanka but there is a lot of cricket around and it is the right thing to do for me at the moment. It was the right call to miss the first two games of this competition too."

We came into tonight desperate for a win with finals not far away - it still feels like we are in the hunt. I'm chuffed for the boys. "We had to adapt to the wicket and it helps when you have a world-class bowling line-up. We knew any chase would be tricky but it was a case of trying to take wickets but building pressure throughout the middle. I thought the lads stuck to their plans brilliantly and it was backed up by some good fielding. "We had the luxury of learning from the first innings and it looked tricky first up. Credit to [Dan] Worrall for his spell. When I got in it was just about building a partnership and taking the game as deep as we could. "I was really happy we could get a win in our last home game for our home fans. It feels like we've played some good cricket in the tournament and it was really pleasing to get another win infront of our fans." ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/14E1/production/_130854350_gettyimages-1627838626.jpg ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/129CB/production/_130853267_gettyimages-1627701723.jpg

21st August 2023 - The Hundred Men and Women Results - at The Kia Oval, London - Oval Invincibles Women won the toss and decided to bat.
Oval Invincibles Women - 155-6 (100 balls) de Klerk 51 not out, Capsey 35, Griffith 23, Gordon 2-19
Trent Rockets Women - 152-8 (100 balls) Lee 61, N Sciver-Brunt 21, Stonehouse 16 not out, Smale 2-26
Oval Invincibles Women win by 3 runsDefending champions Oval Invincibles ended their Hundred campaign with a three-run win over Trent Rockets. The Invincibles recovered from 85-5 to post 155-6 in their first innings after Nadine de Klerk's explosive 51 from 25 balls. Lizelle Lee and Nat Sciver-Brunt led the charge for Rockets in a brave reply, with a stand of 63 from 37 balls. But both were dismissed in the space of three balls as Invincibles fought back. Sciver-Brunt was lbw to Sophia Smale for 21 and Lee was brilliantly run out by Paige Scholfield fielding off her own bowling for an entertaining 61 from 33 balls. The dismissal of Scriver-Brunt sparked a collapse from 105-2 to 117-6 and Rockets lost all momentum in the high chase. With 17 required from four balls, Alexa Stonehouse's three boundaries gave Rockets late hope but Scholfield held her nerve with the final ball. Neither side was in contention for a place in the knockouts before the game started as Southern Brave, Northern Superchargers and Welsh Fire had already cemented their places in the top three. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/F2FE/production/_130860226_gettyimages-1629682895.jpgTrent Rockets bowler Katherine Sciver-Brunt on Sky Sports: "It's something that will take some time to sink in. "I'm happy with the decision I've made [to retire] and how it's all gone. But I know that a big chunk of my life is going to change. I'm glad that it has shaped my life in the way it has. "I never had milestones in mind. Yes, they are brilliant to have, but I am so proud of my journey and the person it has shaped me into." Match Hero Nadine de Klerk: "It was a great pleasure playing at The Oval. We've not had the tournament we hoped for but it is great to finish it off with a win in front of our home crowd. "It was a pretty good wicket in the end. It was tough against spin early on - the Rockets made it look easy. Coming up against Lizelle [Lee] is never easy. It was a really good game of cricket and really entertained the crowd today."

21st August 2023 - The Hundred Men and Women Results - at The Kia Oval, London - Trent Rockets Men won the toss and decided to bat.
Trent Rockets Men - 148-7 (100 balls) Munro 36, Gregory 35, Sams 19, Zampa 2-20
Oval Invincibles Men - 151-5 (92 balls) Billings 76 not out, Jacks 31, Sams 2-38
Oval Invincibles Men win by 5 wicketsSam Billings hit a brilliant unbeaten half-century as Oval Invincibles sealed their place in the Hundred final with a five-wicket victory over Trent Rockets. Captain Billings hit 76 from 40 balls as Invincibles won with eight balls to spare at the Kia Oval. Rockets earlier posted 148-7 with Colin Munro top-scoring with 36 from 35 balls and Lewis Gregory adding 35 from 24. The win means Invincibles cannot now be caught at the top of the table and progress directly to Sunday's final. Defending champions Rockets stay third on net run-rate ahead of Southern Brave and Welsh Fire, but need both those sides and London Spirit to lose their final match in order to stay in the final knockout qualification position. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/13C28/production/_130863908_gettyimages-1629979918.jpgMatch Hero, Oval Invincibles' Sam Billings: "It has been quite a while since I hit it that well. It has been a long summer so it was nice to see some of the work behind the scenes actually come off. It wasn't the perfect scenario to come in but it was an opportunity to bat and get myself in and then I just played to my strengths. It was really pleasing to get over the line. "It is amazing to qualify and go straight to the final. It was big boots to fill with Heinrich Klaasen, he's arguably been the best player in the world in the last year, so it was about someone stepping up and filling those shoes and thankfully I got it done. "That is the story of our summer, everybody has stepped up at different times. It has been a real team effort. There isn't a single person in the squad who hasn't played a part in getting through to the final."

Superchargers could finish top of the table on net run-rate if Southern Brave lose heavily to Manchester Originals on Wednesday. Fire slipped to 0-2 and 14-3 in pursuit of Superchargers' 144-4 at Headginley. Laura Harris and Sophia Dunkley's stand of 62 led a recovery, but late wickets meant they finished on 128-8. Superchargers' total was set up by opener Marie Kelly's unbeaten 69 from 46 balls and Phoebe Litchfield's entertaining 40 from 26 balls. Fire then lost captain Tammy Beaumont and star all-rounder Hayley Matthews before a run had been scored. Fire had already cemented their place in the top three but the defeat confirmed their place in the eliminator, which takes place at The Oval on Saturday 26th August. The final takes place a day later at Lord's. Match hero, Northern Superchargers batter Marie Kelly: "Having a consistent role in this team has been great. I feel fully backed, I know I can go out there and play freely and I was just waiting for an innings like that to come together. "My job is to go out and get us off to a good start in the powerplay, back my options, be nice and aggressive and try to put the bowlers off - I thoroughly love that role. "I absolutely love batting at Headingley. Every time I see that wicket it excites me as a batter and you know you can trust your strong shots."

Match hero Harry Brook on Sky Sports: "I was just trying to hit the ball hard and straight. I had a lot of clarity out there. "The tough thing [in this tournament] is getting people together and not knowing many people. You have to bond as quick as possible. We'll see what happens with the World Cup - I just want to concentrate on every game, whoever it is for, and see what happens." Welsh Fire opener Stevie Eskinazi on Sky Sports: "The game is all about momentum and when someone finishes like Brook did, you have to wrestle it back and thankfully we did. "It's been really nice to come into a team of good blokes and the coaching staff have got us playing some really good cricket. "We can be really proud of our performances as a group, and we are proud regardless of [whether we qualify or not] after a tough couple of years."

Brave have finished top of the women's table and will be joined by either Northern Superchargers or Welsh Fire, who will play in the eliminator. England opener Danni Wyatt hit 56 from 30 balls as Brave easily chased down 119 with 28 balls remaining. Maia Bouchier finished unbeaten on 47 from 25 balls as Brave ended on 121-2. Fi Morris top-scored with 50 in Originals' 118-4, while Laura Wolvaardt scored 46, but Brave's bowlers kept the run-rate under control throughout. Brave lost both the previous two finals to Oval Invincibles, who have finished fifth this season. The eliminator takes place at The Oval on Saturday 26th August, with the final at Lord's the following day. Match Hero, Southern Brave batter Danni Wyatt on BBC Two: "I didn't feel that good until near the end. I was helped by Maia Bouchier, she's been phenomenal all season. Hopefully we can keep it up going into the final." Southern Brave captain Anya Shrubsole: "Really pleased to be heading straight to Lord's. Lauren Bell was exceptional and Georgia Adams keeps doing what she does. I thought it was going to be nervy watching that chase but it was actually lovely to watch. Southern Brave batter Maia Bouchier: "We've had a really good stretch in this competition. We have really class batters coming in, someone like Georgia Adams finishing off and Freya Kemp as well. We're given that opportunity and it's great to win the game."

In a must-win game, Brave restricted Originals to 130-8 at Emirates Old Trafford, with Tymal Mills taking 3-27. Devon Conway then hit an unbeaten 54 from 40 as Brave knocked off the runs with five balls to spare. With Originals also through, the teams will play again at The Oval on Saturday for a place in the final. The winner of that game will go up against Oval Invincibles for the trophy at Lord's on Sunday. Welsh Fire miss out on the knockout phase following Brave's victory. Brave are looking for their second title after victory in the first year of The Hundred, while Originals lost last year's final to Trent Rockets. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/096A/production/_130501420_tymalmills_0086_1b9cgnks_20230517102251.jpgSouthern Brave bowler Tymal Mills (above) on BBC Two: "I would have liked that to have finished 10 or 15 balls earlier but we got the job done. "It was tricky. The weather didn't help. But we knew we just had to win so there wasn't the time pressure on it. "We can't take anything for granted. Just because we beat them here doesn't mean we're going to roll them over on Saturday." Manchester Originals captain Jos Buttler: "We're through, and that's the main thing. We are disappointed to lose but we're still in it. "It's good to see your opposition and know what you're up against but I don't think this means too much when we're looking ahead. "The rain made it tricky for us with the bowlers finding it hard to grip the ball so we'll start again at a new venue." Southern Brave captain James Vince: "Winning gives us confidence, coming here in a must-win game and winning. It's nice to get one over on them but they'll be keen to bounce back. "A chance to play in another final at Lord's is at stake so we're looking forward to it."

The Australian made the most of some ill-disciplined Phoenix bowling to hit 87 from 47 balls as Spirit posted 172-5 at Edgbaston. Phoenix made a quick start to their reply but crumbled from 31-1 to 99 all out after 76 balls to lose by 73 runs. Leg-spinner Amelia Kerr took 4-13 and was the pick of the Spirit bowlers. Spirit's second win of the tournament lifts them above Manchester Originals into sixth on net run-rate. Phoenix finish five points adrift, with their only point of the campaign coming from a match abandoned because of rain. Match Hero, London Spirit's Harris: "It's definitely one of my better days in England. I'm very happy to contribute. I loved that pitch as a batter. "We wanted to finish on a positive and play freely. I have battled with that mentality so I was very pleased to go out and bat in my own style. I can overthink sometimes, especially when I've been moving around in the order. "Both personally and as a team, it's nice to finish on a high." London Spirit captain Charlie Dean on Sky Sports: "Massively important for us to finish on a high. We've spoken a lot about how we want to play so it was very special to put in a complete performance finally. "Grace Harris and Dani Gibson is a great combination at the top. They haven't fired at their very best for us but it was great to see them go out and give us that platform and allow us to post such a big total."

Fast bowler Adam Milne took 4-20 and Tanveer Sangha 3-16 as Spirit slumped to 108 all out in pursuit of 186. Phoenix's 185-5 was set up by Jamie Smith's 52 from 31 balls, and Ben Duckett's 47 off 33. All-rounder Moeen Ali also added a quickfire 32 from 14 balls, while New Zealand seamer Tim Southee took 3-23 on his Hundred debut for Spirit. Daryl Mitchell smashed 57 from 36 balls for Spirit, with opener Daniel Bell-Drummond the only other batter to reach double figures, scoring 23. The result is only Phoenix's second win of the competition but ensures they do not finish bottom of the table, going above Spirit and Northern Superchargers into sixth. Match Hero, Birmingham Phoenix's Adam Milne on Sky Sports: "It's always nice taking wickets up top and it was incredible batting from Jamie Smith to get us to a good total. "It's been a disappointing season when you look at the team and the individual players but that's just how short-form cricket works sometimes. "We showed here what we're capable of and we'll come back stronger next year."

Sophie Ecclestone: England spinner suffers dislocated shoulder in Hundred warm-up..
ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/FE69/production/_130892156_gettyimages-1633879630.jpg Sophie Ecclestone has been rested from England's upcoming white-ball series against Sri LankaEngland spinner Sophie Ecclestone dislocated her shoulder during the warm-up for Manchester Originals' final match of the The Hundred against Southern Brave. Ecclestone was helped off the field at Old Trafford on Wednesday and went to hospital for scans. It has not yet been confirmed how long she will be ruled out for. England's next series starts on 31st August against Sri Lanka, but Ecclestone was not named in the squad. After playing every game in the Ashes and captaining Originals in The Hundred, Ecclestone was rested to manage her workload. Ecclestone is the number-one ranked bowler in one-day internationals and T20s, and took 10 wickets in the Ashes Test, followed by 10 wickets across both white-ball series. She took seven wickets in Originals' Hundred campaign as they missed out on qualifying for the knockouts. Her next cricket is likely to come in the Women's Big Bash League in Australia, with the draft for that competition taking place on 3 September. England are due to tour India in December, but dates have not yet been confirmed for that series. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/B049/production/_130892154_gettyimages-1621698570.jpg

Shrubsole played 173 games for England across all formats, claiming 227 wickets, including six in a player-of-the-match performance against India in that famous World Cup final win at Lord's. She also played domestic cricket for Somerset, Western Storm, Perth Scorchers, Berkshire and Southern Vipers during a 19-year professional career. "I knew I was retiring before this competition and you have that hope you'll make it to the final, but I often find sport isn't that kind so I feel incredibly lucky that the team have performed so well and we get to play in the final," Shrubsole told BBC Radio 5 Live. Like Shrubsole, Hartley was also an integral part of England's successful World Cup campaign, ending the tournament as their second-highest wicket-taker and claiming 2-58 in the final. She played 32 matches for England across all formats after her debut against Pakistan in 2016. The 29-year-old is also a member of the BBC's Test Match Special commentary team and a host of the No-Balls podcast with Thunder team-mate Kate Cross. ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/cpsprodpb/11FA8/production/_130904637_microsoftteams-image-2.png

Saturday 26th August 2023 - The Eliminator game - at The Kia Oval, London - Welsh Fire Women won the toss and decided to bat.upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/88/Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg/200px-Northern_Superchargers_logo.svg.png V upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/7c/Welsh_Fire_logo.svg/200px-Welsh_Fire_logo.svg.pngWelsh Fire Women -104-2 (75 balls) Dunkley 38, Beaumont 37 not out, L.Harris 14 not out, Ballinger 1-24 Northern Superchargers are through to the final of the women's Hundred after rain ruined their eliminator against Welsh Fire. In a game reduced to 95 balls at The Oval, Fire had reached 104-2 from 75 when a lightning threat delayed play. Heavy rain arrived soon after, with the game abandoned at 16:40 BST. The Superchargers advance to play Southern Brave in Sunday's final at Lord's by virtue of having finished higher than Fire in the group stage. Superchargers only climbed above Fire into second by beating the Welsh side in the final group game at Headingley on Tuesday. This defeat ends the career of former England spinner Alex Hartley, who will retire at the end of The Hundred but was not included in the Fire XI on Saturday. Sunday's final between Southern Brave and Northen Superchargers is live on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer from 2pm. Northern Superchargers captain Hollie Armitage on BBC Two: "Mother nature was on our side today. It's hard for Welsh Fire and it's not how anyone would like to go out of a competition. "But I'm proud of my team because we definitely deserve our place in the final. It's mixed emotions right now because of how it has come to an end here, but the excitement will kick in soon. "We are ready for a competitive game on Sunday. We've got a lot of confidence even though we know they are a very strong team. "We are playing as a real unit and we showed that with the ball and in the field today. It was only 75 balls but it has given us a lot of confidence." Welsh Fire's Alex Hartley to BBC Sport: "It has been everything I've ever dreamed of doing. That little girl who pulled on an England shirt would be so proud. It would have been amazing to go out at Lord's but we can only blame ourselves for finishing third in the table. "I always said whatever happened this weekend I am going out on a high. I had a mental health break earlier in the year and I came back and fell in love with cricket again, I am very happy." On this season: "It has been incredible. To turn it around from last year to this year, everyone can give themselves a pat on the back. We were the team that nobody wanted to play for but we are now a team that people will want to play for."

The Hundred 2023: Jos Buttler leads Manchester Originals to eliminator win over Southern Brave..ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/480/cpsprodpb/10113/production/_130911856_gettyimages-1640711614.jpgJos Buttler led a superb Manchester Originals chase of 197 to beat Southern Brave in the men's Hundred eliminator. Brave looked well-placed for the final when they piled up 196-1 at The Oval through half-centuries from Finn Allen, James Vince and Devon Conway. But Buttler added 83 in 32 balls with Phil Salt on the way to 82 from 46. Originals completed the highest chase in Hundred history with four deliveries to spare and will meet Oval Invincibles in Sunday's final at Lord's. It means the Originals have the chance of going one better than their defeat in last year's final, while Brave miss out on the opportunity to add to the title they won in 2021. Match Hero and Manchester Originals captain Jos Buttler: "That was fantastic. It was a tough fielding innings but we knew with a good start we'd have a chance on a great pitch and a short boundary on one side. "I was a bit disappointed that they got such a big score, there were a few things I could have done differently as captain but we just had to park it and once we got into our flow, it was hard to stop us. "We'll be resting tonight and looking forward to a great day at Lord's tomorrow."

Southern Brave Women - 139-6 (100 balls) Wyatt 59, Kemp 31, Adams 27, Cross 3-21 Northern Superchargers Women - 105 all out (94 balls) Rodrigues 24, Moore 3-15, Bell 3-21 Southern Brave Women win by 34 runs The Hundred: Southern Brave beat Northern Superchargers to win women's title..By Stephan Shemilt, Chief cricket writer at Lord's. ichef.bbci.co.uk/ace/standard/240/cpsprodpb/12AA3/production/_130915467_04f609f833b39e6a2551d57072f556ef4bbafaea.jpgSouthern Brave finally won the women's Hundred by outclassing Northern Superchargers in the final at Lord's. Brave lost to Oval Invincibles in the previous two finals but this time made no mistake, beating Superchargers by 34 runs. Brave recovered from 8-2 to post 139-6 thanks to opener Danni Wyatt's 59 and Freya Kemp's 31 from just 17 balls. Superchargers lost Marie Kelly to the second ball of the reply, bowled by Lauren Bell. Much rested on their leading run-scorer Phoebe Litchfield, but when she slashed Bell to deep cover, Superchargers were 13-2 and could not find a way back. Bell ended with 3-21 and spinner Kalea Moore took 3-15 in a ruthless Brave display with the ball and in the field. The threat from the Superchargers had long been extinguished when they were dismissed for 105 with six balls remaining. The win means Brave captain Anya Shrubsole lifted The Hundred trophy after her final game as a professional, with the pace bowler now following her former England team-mates Katherine Sciver-Brunt and Alex Hartley into retirement. Southern Brave captain Anya Shrubsole on BBC Two: "I couldn't think of a better way to end my career than this. It's hard to put into words. "That group of girls and staff really deserve these celebrations. We have played some phenomenal cricket throughout this competition." Southern Brave wicketkeeper Rhianna Southby on BBC Two: "I loved every second. "Wicketkeeping is my passion, I just love it. I am obsessed with it and want to do it all day and all night so to be able to do it in a final at Lord's was so special. "Anya has been incredible. I will never forget her influence on me and I'm so grateful." Southern Brave's Freya Kemp on BBC Two: "It was amazing. An all-round team performance, so glad we could get over the line and do it for Anya. "Lottie [Charlotte Edwards] is amazing. She makes it seem so easy for us."
