and so it starts... Just watching the opening ceremony the start of an exciting month or so of rugby. Needless to say, expectations are high here in NZ for an All Blacks victory. Those expectations at times border on arrogance so there is a part of me that would get a large chunk of schadenfreude if they failed to make the final. Don't get me wrong, I love New Zealand and the Kiwis but even after 29 years here in NZ I still hanker for an England victory as much as I want the Gas to win every game. Can England do it? Possibly but if I had to put money on it then the AB's would be a safer bet. Nonetheless... com'on England

Can't see it happening for England. Eddie Jones demonstrated once again in the 6 Nations his unwillingness to change a gameplan trying to play the same way against Wales, just because it had worked against Ireland. Get your money on South Africa at 4/1. Unbelievably England are also at 4s while Wales are 9/1 and the highest ranked team in the world , Ireland are also 9/1!

I have never seen the AB's so comprehensively outplayed before.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the England v New Zealand semi-final this morning, particularly so as England won of course. I have rarely seen an England XV play with such a mixture of determination and skill, and they got their just rewards against an All Black team that couldn't seem to get going today.
In any event England have made the Final and can now sit back and watch Wales and South Africa slug it out tomorrow. But if England can reproduce the form that they showed today in the final, then it will take an extremely good performance to stop them lifting that trophy.

It's hard to believe England can play at that level for 80 minutes again because that was extraordinary. Absolutely drilled the All Blacks there. Very few pubs showing it here as Australia obviously not involved and being in Victoria it's considered a peripheral sport. Had to walk 5km home after the game (via a couple of intermediate stopping points for lubrication I might add!). Have to say that the majority of Aussies were supporting England though which really is one of the first times that has ever happened in my experience. Good to know they hate someone slightly more than us, if only for a day. What a chance to win the World Cup this is now.
