Just appointed by Walsall. Good choice, and should give them a decent chance of bouncing straight back
1st signing The Beard?

I think he might have had better offers despite this seasons loss of vision. Hope he does very well.

If he falls off the saddle, at least he can dust himself down...

If he falls off the saddle, at least he can dust himself down... That made I laugh. Seriously though, I do wish him all the very best as he provided us with some memorable moments, wore his heart on his sleeve and gave me the best day I can remember at Rovers, as a paying supporter. Such a shame things turned out as they did. Good luck DC and I hope you get the backing you deserve

Just appointed by Walsall. Good choice, and should give them a decent chance of bouncing straight back 1st signing The Beard? PLEASE LET HIS FIRST SIGNING BE TOM NICHOLS! (I don't think he will repeat that mistake though). On a more serious note, excellent news for Darrell and hope he does really well there.

Disappointed. He could have waited until GC went to Plymouth. Now we're safe, we could have reappointed him. He'll manage in higher divisions.

From the Walsall forum:- I am happy enough with Clarke. He ticks many of the right boxes: Previous league 2 success Work with a tight budget Attacking football style Name can be misspelt a dozen different ways.
