I get regular clips sent to me from people working a White Hart Lane. It is indeed stunning. Spuds fans are complaining about the extended wait for it to open and also the astronomic rise in season ticket prices - almost like the fans are paying for the stadium. They are a bit cross... so I then show them the picture of our new Family Stand. How we laugh.

I really love the fact they're sneaking safe standing through the back door.

So have they installed seats that can be 'locked in the up position'? Is that legal? Or would they argue that they are future-proofing the stadium for the probable introduction of safe-standing?

As new builds go, I quite like it. But calling it a 'familiarisation event' and putting meaningless drivel like 'To dare is to do' around the place, makes me want to kill.

Interestingly on a similar subject Brentford have announced the name of their hospitality at their new stadiums as... "The Posh Seats". Rate that.

I am probably just being a bit grumpy, in the original Latin it sounds fine to me , it's just when they translate it , it sounds a bit David Brentish, I'm not forgiving them for 'familiarisation event' though. I want to book hospitality at Brentford now

Brentford / Peterborough could cause ticketing problems.

Spurs fans not sure what to call their 'new' home... and are calling it "The New Stadium". Which is an anagram of West Ham United.

Presumably it will receive a massive corporate sponsor at some point. Seriously I think it says a lot about the passivity of football fans that we're happy to go along with this. Emirates aren't bloody well paying me any money so why should I give them free advertising by calling it the 'Emirates Stadium' - I think Arsenal fans should have taken ownership of Ashburton Grove or New Arsenal Stadium or something. It's a sneaky thing being in at the start with the sponsored name because that is what becomes engrained - but we shouldn't let it because we're being saps. For example I'm sure the vast majority of Bournemouth fans still call their ground Dean Court but Bolton fans I know call their ground 'the Reebok' even though it's been through at least 2 re-brandings since then. So Reebok are still getting value out of that long after they stopped paying for it.

Similar to you and your agreement with the Dáil Éireann, Andy Burnham must be pissy as f**k you're sticking with it.
