Gloucestershire start and end the season with a win...
Now if we can just sort out that bit in the middle we'll be ok

Decent season.
Very unlucky in the 50 Over Competition, basically knocked out because of too many no results.
Very good in the T20, was a real shame we didn't get to finals day. Some great evenings under lights at Nevil Road though.
County Championship, started well, middle poor but unbeaten in the last block of fixtures. Finished fifth which, essentially is "best of the rest" at the moment.
Shame about losing Miles, Pasty hasn't really featured the last 2 seasons so not a huge loss. Rumours of Fuller coming back should add some experience to the attack. Positives from this season? The continued progression of James Bracey and Miles Hammond, the emergence of Ben Charlesworth and George Drissell and the signing of Ryan Higgins. Hopefully a couple of decent signings and we can progress again next year.

UTGlos Yeah I think it was a reasonable season as well - in fact had the T20 quarter final gone our way then it would have been a successful one. If they can find another signing to have the impact Higgins did last season then it could close the gap to the Div 2 promotion challengers. Leicestershire showed you don't need to do a lot to make a big step forward in that respect. Need to do something about the annual Cheltenham swoon though - too often the festival is the point at which Glos's Championship interests come to an end for the season. |
