I didn’t know this, nobody I know knows this and I’ve seen nowt on here.
The east stand corner by the blackthorn, the uncovered bit, is being rebuild to be an all seater family stand. The dribuild terrace in front of the east stand continues.
Apparently happening this summer.
I don’t know how quickly these can be knocked up but fearing it’s a tent style thing if it’s 2 months. However, I know nothing of stadium construction times.
Could it be the start of a redeveloped east side with the current weird blue monstrosity knocked down and the family stand extended to a full length stand?
Ok another note.
The east stand car park is huge. You could build a 2/3 story massive building all over the car park, leave the bottom level for cars and have shops, gyms, bars above.
We definitely have the space for a great ground. City’s site is only marginally bigger.
I’m seeing a super mega east stand with small stands on other sides, to be developed slowly. Safe standing on the blackthorn.
Added bonus for us, if we follow city’s route, is we are much closer to motorways which is a huge bonus. Much easier to get to glouster road from M5 than the southern outskirts of Bristol, which is good for somerseters but virtually nobody else.

I have it on good authority that once the World Cup is finished the spare seats from the Yekaterinburg stadium will be shipped over and put next to the Blackthorn terrace!

:-) I seriously hope people understood that was tongue in cheek. Well I did, but I'm not sure about a few others If you have a silly/dry sense of humour you’ll find this happen quite often. Often at work I’ll say something with Socratic ignorance as a joke only for people to explai basic things not clocking what I’m doing.

It’s pretending you don’t know the answer to something you know full well, in order to encourage others to explain their positions and views.

So, pretending you do know the answer to something you don't know at all, in order to discourage others from explaining their positions and views, would be Socratic Intelligence? That's the one more usually practised on here.

I know Oh yes yes yes. Very well done, Sirs. 'Comedy genius' is a term thrown around very casually these days and certainly isn't a term one should bestow on oneself, but, you know.....

Well done Rex. 'Hoist with my own petard' is the expression Gregory Stevens is struggling to find.
