For a small country, New Zealand has produced created some great music and artists over the years. Some people have little idea the artists are in fact Kiwis. Below is an up and coming singer-songwriter "Teeks", who I'm sure the rest of the world will soon discover but there are and have been many more including in no particular order; Crowded House -Dont Dream it's Over Brooke Fraser -Something in the water Lorde -Royals Breaks Co-op -The Otherside OMC How Bizzare The Exponents -Why does love do this to me? Dragon -Are you old enough? Kimbra -Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra) Ladyhawke -My Dilierium Fat Freddys Drop -Balckbird Full Album (A great reggae band from where I live here in Wellington) Dave Dobbin -Welcome Home Split Enz - I See Red (yes I know...sorry)For anyone interested a full list of New Zealand artists can found <<HERE>>

Jeff, part music related. Are you aware of an out door sculpture,Shane Wooldridge?I think his work was even put on a set of NZ postage stamps. He has sculptured eg 6ft high stone apples.Etc.
Years ago he played in the Cheltenham band The Crack.A cross between Slade and the Clash.Best pub band I ever saw. YouTube The Crack (punk band, not the US band named the same), "Going Out" eg.
Anyway,we use to know each other back in the day,Same pubs, gigs, rehearsal studios etc.
Google Shane Wooldridge sculpture.

Hi basel. Can't say I'd heard of Shane but having now looked him up, his work looks exceptional. No mention of you in his biography though. He is located on the South Island, as am I these days, but in Arrowtown. Arrowtown is an old gold mining village which has been transformed into a tourist destination and a mere 11-hour drive from my place. I particularly liked his"Split Apple" artwork which is influenced by a rock of the same name just an hour from where I live. I was there a few weeks ago and it's a magical spot. Here a snippet of video I took while there. I'm planning to be in Arrowtown later this year so I'll post some photos when I've seen more of Shanes's work. Thanks for sharing, all very interesting.

Top quality stuff. Ha!Greeting nods,a few small chats, mates with each others mates.Part of the scene,"alright mate" terms. He's a bloody good guitarist, although The Crack were all about the singer/ rhythm guitarist. You've either got it,or you hav'nt. He has.
