I don't get the hatred for him. He helped us up two divisions and deserved his chance at a higher level. The snake thing by our fans was totally out of order and childish. Who gives a s**t where he went. Good luck to the bloke and I hope he's in the Prem next season.

It was also the way it happened that riled so many. He and his agent are s***s for the way they conducted themselves. That said, he scored a lot of goals for us and would in other circumstances, would have been a hero but with the swipe of a pen, became a zero for many.

If it wasn't for the money he is earning I would almost feel sorry for him as he isn't much rated or liked by his own fans and will soon be tumbling back down the leagues where he came from...albeit with a suitcase full of cash.

I couldn't care less about him tbh. I just think posting a photo like that is likely to stir up a few who don't seem to have got over it yet. Still, up to him I guess.

I don't think anybody 'hates' him, we can all see the difference between football and things that are important enough to actually 'hate' someone over. However, as I keep saying, his conduct was disgusting. His career was going nowhere, he was sent back from a loan period at a Conference team because he was rubbish. Marcus turned that around, sure, he had the ability, but he hadn't found how to utilise it until he arrived at Rovers. The way he thanked us was by having his agent reveal the release clause in his contract and moving to our only rivals 20 minutes before the transfer window closed for the lowest sum possible, so we didn't get full market value and didn't even have time to try to replace him. In sporting terms I wish him nothing but misfortune. In his personal life, I wish him and his family and friends every happiness.

It was posted by the club- they probably threw the snake at him and said "go on Matty, make fun of the fact you are a snake". Which shows you the level of class that was on display by all concerned. Anyway, I like those goal gifs because they provide an excellent source of mockery when City go on their annual losing runs and there is not a city goal in sight. I recall one club even tweeted "what, no goal gif?" After they scored the winner against them

He plunged a big old dagger right in the back of DC, the man who stuck with & ultimately made him. Not to mention s***ting all over the supporters who had him at hero status.
fck him.

I personally would have him back even DC recently said with Bodin and Taylor we would have made the play offs. Neither player has been replaced.

I personally would have him back even DC recently said with Bodin and Taylor we would have made the play offs. Neither player has been replaced. They have, you just can’t buy players of that standard if you’re Bristol rovers. If we could replace them with similar quality, we would have kept them in the first place. They were above our standard, that’s why they left. We did replace them, but on players we had to gamble on. Some have worked so far - Bennet. Some haven’t - Nicholls. Even if we chuck money at players, we wouldn’t keep them. Even if we bankrupted the club paying 10k a week to Bodin, he’d rather be paid 10k a week in the championship. To tempt a championship player here to replace them you’d have to double it. That said, it was the manner of Taylor which made him the literal scum of the earth. As said by the fine post above.

Wouldn't piss on him if I came across him on fire in a car accident with his missus. I would Snapchat film it with the gif of Bobby Reid with a fire extinguisher.

Apparently he wanted to be in a 'gif' alongside a naked lady with her legs akimbo - because he reckoned most people were calling him a c**t. The snake was used as a last minute replacement so as not to offend. (I apologise for dropping the "c bomb". I use it very very sparingly and only when I can find no other word that will do).
