Ok, just back.
Lacklustre and lethargic performance. At home, I definitely think we need to up tempo. Maybe the pitch can be blamed for some of it, but we really need to play faster in attack..
Beautiful day to watch football, just unfortunately a match rather forgotten. One moment of brilliance, a sublime bisecting pass led their first.....our never say die attitude returned a goal at the death.
Positives... Attitude. Impeccable, always looking to put in a shift.
Lockyer. My m o m. Made great many cut outs and brought the ball out well. Very good performance to what we know he's capable of.
Partington. My near m o m. Unusual for him not to score here, isn't it?! Got well down the flanks, some great crosses and pass that led to goalie hand ball incident.
Ellis. He's brilliant as a central defender at set pieces today, again. Put in another shift, glad he got the goal to equalise.
The ref. I thought he was of the better ones and sensible. I don't think their keeps should have been sent off and he got hos cards right. Well done officials today, how often can you say that?
Their number21, he was brilliant heading out everything in his domain.
Negatives... Two disgusting challenges from Scunny. Dirty gits.
Crowd quietest I've heard today. Hardly mustered a decent song.
Our final delivery / pass / shot. Woeful. Especially as our build up play was pretty decent.
Smith. Have to say soft goal to concede, some blamed him as it went under his outstretched dive. I thought harsh, but he looked shaky today. Unconfident on set pieces and def went for a punch out late on and missed! I just wonder..
Too many mis placed passes from both teams. Scrappy.
Ho hum. We move on to Wigan. And then MK. Rather than two draws, I would be happy to win one at least.
We'll see. Utterly forgettable today but well done for our perseverance and especially Sercombe's delivery to help equal up the scores..
UptheGas!

Two disgusting challenges from Scunny. Dirty gits. There was a direct line from Ellis to the goal, if the keeper doesn't handle that there is no covering defender. Red card. Yet again an official makes up a version of the rules that he thinks is best. But at least he saw it, unlike the Lino who was 10 yards from the offence. Saw one stamp on a Rovers' players' foot, could easily have broken bones, missed the second one. We were saying in the first half, this ref would blow up for minor contact and then at some point bottle a big decision. Exactly what happened. They should have finished with no more than 9 players. To those opposition supporters who think Rovers are big, physical and try to bully their way to results, take a look at Scunthorpe. Highlight of the day, obviously the goal from Ellis, but almost as entertaining, Cameron McGeehan's haircut, what the heck is that all about? Looks like Den Hegarty's love child. Surely he did that for a dare?

So, in short, BG....an improvement: as this ref wasn't cheating?

BBC match report states " EH scored.... to give Rovers a result they barely deserved ". I'd have thought the other way round - they did nothing before they scored & not much afterwards. OK,we weren't very good (to say the least),but surely deserved at least a point. As Bamber says, Scunny just big & physical.

First half was like a pre season friendly. Second was better. Ref by far the best all season. Result was fair to both teams. Graham Alexander is a top bloke. It was bloody cold. We're still in the play off hunt. That's all folks.

Was almost toasty warm in the Centenary Terrace Grant. Biggest issue was the sun in our eyes. Have a feeling Tuesday will be a tad nippier

You can be sure of that, Staffy......I'm positively positive pitch gate will be awarded fairly next time...π Itβs not great for both sides but the manager should get in with it and not let the players potentially use this as an excuse. However, Iβm sure 95% of professional football clubs have an approved list of pitch contractors

Funny how pitch wasn't mentioned when we beat Pompey at home new years day? Or Bradford, where we played them off the park?

Anyone on the East Terrace know who or what Tony Craig was shouting and gesticulating at, after Ellis's equaliser?
He ran to the side and pointed into the crowd, 4 or 5 times.
It was near the away dug out; I'm assuming he was giving some back to someone in the crowd, rather than the Scunny bench.
