Big announcement regards Stadium & Colony development fully expected........ Is this tongue-in-cheek? What big announcements are we expecting? Our planning consultants have been planning and there are still some plans being laid but these things take time? Would love some positive meaningful announcements but I’m resigned to thinking that all that will happen is the grass next to the fence at the training ground will grow a little longer and they’ll install some new bollards at the mem

A good sign if one of the boards biggest supporters reckons the accounts are prepared with an abacus.

From today's BP - nowt new really: also long interview with Wael on OS: www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/february/waelalqadiinterview/The Bristol Rovers owner and president speaks about his plans for improving the facilities and the latest with the new training ground
Bristol Rovers president Wael Al-Qadi has given an update on the progress of plans to improve the playing facilities at the club as well as the new training ground devleopment. [sic], (so's the proof reader!) The Jordanian owner was speaking as he celebrates two-years since his takeover of the Gas on February 19, 2016. Since then the club has seen the proposed deal of a new stadium in conjunction with the University of the West of England (UWE) fall through in August last year. Following the collapse of talks with UWE last summer, Al-Qadi revealed the clubs plan was to now redevelop the Memorial Stadium stand by stand in the coming years. The deal for the proposed UWE Stadium fell through in August 2017 The Rovers president has repeatedly stated he wants to improve the playing facilities at the club, and six months after the collapse of the UWE deal, he has given a further update. "The UWE Stadium deal fell through because we didn't feel it was right for the club, that's the only reason," Al-Qadi told Rovers' club wesbite. [sic], (so's the proof reader!) "People keep on saying we don't have a plan B or C, but we do have a plan B, C, D and E. We all know that we need new facilities and we are working hard behind the scenes to achieve that, it's going to take time. "Rest assured that we are working behind the scenes on it. "We cannot make things public because it will affect certain negotiations or certain plans. Once there is something to publish, we'll go with it." The training ground, to be known as the Colony, is seen as a vital step as Rovers look to continue their off-field development and house all age-group sides under one roof. Last month the club revealed that Evan Jones chartered surveyors and planning consultants had been appointed as manager to oversee the development. "To some people one month is way too long to get this project up and running," said Al-Qadi. "But we've appointed the project manager, who in turn have appointed their own team of designers and architects. "It's full steam ahead."

So I've voted 'yes' to all resolutions, except for the re-election of Ken Masters as a Director, which was a 'no'. 'Hell, no' was not an option. I don't expect that to swing it, but someone will have to report votes against the vacuous arse, which is the best I can do.
Meanwhile, folk seem to have forgotten about BSS mincing off stage left (and no replacement of f-all is needed), so that's the end of that and the £1m that enabled it.
