With our usual loyal following making their way to Boundary Park today do we think this could be our first away win since that memorable Cobblers 6-0 win ?
Confidence must be reasonably high after the Boxing Day draw and clean sheet.
Last match of 2017 be good to come away with three points and dare I say it a goal for Tom Nichols.

Who recalls hat 4-4 draw on 27 September 1997, in front of a 5,990 crowd. A rampant Oldham team raced into a 3-0 lead, within the first half hour, with goals by Barlow (8 mins and 23 mins) and McCarthy (25 mins). 15 minutes later and Rovers had pegged it back to 3-3 with Peter Beadle (30 mins and 33 mins) and Barry Hayles (45 mins) scoring. Oldham re-took the lead with a 59th minute goal by Garner but Rovers were not finished, Jamie Cureton slammed home a penalty in the 87th minute to take a welcome point.
In 2008-09 Rovers completed a 2-0 double over the Latics, which bettered the previous season’s 1-0 double! Prior to that Rovers’ last victory at Boundary Park was on 26 February 2000 as Rovers raced towards what appeared to be a certain automatic promotion.
Goals by Jamie Cureton (4 mins and 6 mins, penalty) and Vitas Astafjevs (11 mins) seemed to have sown the game up for Rovers within the first 15 minutes. A further goal by Andy Thomson (48 mins) just after half time gave the Gas an unassailable lead and Oldham’s only response was a goal by Dudley in the 67th minute

Okies....nice drink up here. Alot of early doors Gas in Clayton pub.
Nice chat with home fans, some of our younger lot find it hard to believe Oldham were once a Div 1 outfit, Wembley appearance v Forest and credible opponents.
That's not so distant history.
How can they do that, and we do what we done in same timeframe? Well, a chat for another day, but a good old established club with playing a part in our history (promotion '74) and always seem to manage themselves in third tier.
I think (probably to some extent forced) an attacking lineup.
Glad to see Partington and Ollie playing. Hope they blend together and Ollie can show us his attacking attributes.
I go 1-2 Gas. Ollie and Sercombe.
COME ON YOU BLACK QUARTERS!

4:00am here, can't sleep. Must be the excitement of the big game. I can keep track of the score elsewhere so any updates on how we're playing, the quality of the pies and the number of away supporters etc would be appreciated.

The rad bris commentator is rubbish. I've listened to the whole commentary and couldn't say anything about the match. How about saying where on the pitch the ball is for a start.

It's cold wet and windy.Oldham playing with the wind and shooting on sight. Had a few breaks but it's backs to the wall.sinclair booked for over enthusiastic tackle that stopped a break so fair enough. Let's hope we are better with the wind in second half. At this moment will take a 0.0 draw

goalless at half time no goal conceded for 192 mins ...wow good stat. Parts in front of the back 4 working again?* *in case of fate-tempting, there is a typo in that sentence. I'm not sure where tho

Oldham playing with the wind and shooting on sight. 10 shots, 1 on target per Beeb. Was 8 and 0 a few minutes ago

At this moment will take a 0.0 draw That sounds quite promising - I've been to Boundary Park quite a lot and the wind can make a big difference. If we have it in the 2md half hopefully we can reverse the stats on the BBC website (about all I have to go on) which suggests they are having comfortably the better of it. Personally I'd take a 0-0 draw now though.

The camera is parked right behind the dugout at such a low angle that it ruins the iFollow experience completely. Somebody nip in and tell 'em to put it further up in the stand ffs :-) We're holding our own from what I can see and I wouldn't be surprised if we sneaked a winner.

1-0 Bodin get in 11 goals. Every game Bodin has scored this season Rovers have won except Bradford away.
