DORCHESTER Town winger Mo Baghdadi admits he has to “keep going” following his four-goal display in the Magpies’ 6-0 Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division win against St Ives on Saturday.
Bristol Rovers’ loanee Baghdadi, 21, has now scored seven goals during his near two-month stay at the Avenue ahead of his final two games against Farnborough tonight (7.45pm) [shorely, Monday night?] and Bishop’s Stortford on Saturday.
German ace Baghdadi is set to return to Bristol Rovers after a trip to his native country over the festive period.
...with Rovers’ under-23 coach Chris Hargreaves watching his goal-studded performance from the stands, Baghdadi admitted he is targeting a breakthrough into the League One club’s first team.
He told Echosport: “My goal is to go in the first team in Bristol. He (Hargreaves) will tell me what is the best for me and then I’ll do it.
“I’m open for everything and my goal is by the end of the season to go in the first team.

Under pressure managers usually find it hard to bring in the kids. The "reasoning" being the pressure situation can be damaging for them. The problem is, if they don't get games in the first team they will get bored and wander off or go to another club. You will never know if they are good enough unless they play first team football for their parent club.
The development squad is one of the best ideas ever at the club, but if cuts are coming then the baby may get thrown out with the bathwater. I would rather see players like Dunwald, Kavanagh, Ellington, Meyanese, Broom et al get a game or two than any number of premiers*** loanees.
