My BRAND NEW book, ‘Back to the Future’, is out in December and is the antidote to obedient season reviews, with none of the hindsight that most writers rely. It's a similar format to 'Print That Season!' and 'Double Darrell' but has been made even better; well, so says my Mum, who surely can't be biased? It’s a signed and numbered limited edition of only 250 books, so get yours quick, before it's gone. If you don't want to read all the detail just go straight here and buy itThe BookExperience the pulsating story of Bristol Rovers’ first season back in League One, the land of milk and honey (or is it shrimps and pig’s trotters?), chronicled through the weekly-ish meanderings I had published either on the Bristol Post web site or in the award winning official BRFC match day programme (note - it was award winning before I started... It will probably lose that status soon then ). Given the 750 word limit of the later, the renderings in the book are sometimes the longer incarnations I wrote before having to edit them down - now that’s what I call value for money! On a physical level you will encounter 36 juicy articles which are ENTIRELY unedited from what was written at the time (no hindsight for me; I will take my bad calls on the chin and accept any accolades to my heart), plus details of each match, QI stats, recent Rovers news, several pages of colour photos (mainly contributed by my fellow fans) and a full colour seven page ‘football by footpath’ adventure at Coventry City. On a metaphysical level there is a whole lot more: It could well change your life forever, helping you stop smoking, lose weight, put on muscle and make you a millionaire... All copies will also come with:- a new and very special BRFC postcard to wow your distant friends and family with,
- a 85 x 55 mm Bristol Blue Gas stickers to stick wherever you want (BS3 is always a good place), and,
- a 6”x4” photograph from the 2015/16 promotion season, which supporters can longingly hug and kiss, whilst blubbing, 'It's not fair! why don't we get promoted every season!!? waaaaaaaaaah'
ALL for £9.99, including UK deliveryTo keep it affordable most copies will be sold via myself, rather than in shops, so please don't expect to be able to buy it in many shopsTake care & UTG! Martin Summary- One man’s weekly wanderings throughout Bristol Rovers’ League One campaign of 2016-17
- 152 pages, including 20 colour pages
- Numbered limited edition of 250 copies, signed by the author.
- Printed in Wales by a nice old independent printer
- Family Friendly - No swearing, violence, racism, sexism etc
- 21.0cm x 14.8cm (A5 size - 8” x 6” approx - same size as my other three Rovers books)
- This is a PRE-SALE - and is available here

The eagle has landed and it looks great. Even better is the postcard I made (I'll upload a photo later) FYI - All postal copies have gone out Most in the Bristol / Bath / North Wiltshire area will be hand delivered this weekend (16th/17th December), using my own feet (and a car), so if you are local don't worry that you haven't had yours yet. Hand delivering is safer and just as fast as the post. I desperately need more orders to pay the print bill so if you like the articles I write (e.g. in the award winning matchday programme) and want it either for yourself, or as a present that you can almost guarantee the recipient won't have yet, please consider spending £9.99 HERE for a beautiful, hand produced, signed and numbered book, with added goodies. UTG!

Can't help thinking that the title could have been: 'Back To Where We Were Before The Nightmare Began.'

Martin, This isn’t actually meant to be aimed at you alone but I wish others and you, who write these books, woukd occasionally post something other than book plugs. Good luck maye entitled to your opinion etc but I spend hours upon hours researching & writing for free for the BRFC programme (I actually do 2 pages every issue - my own page and the Bristol Rovers Former Players Association page). I also do, for free, all the writing, newsletter, social media and website for the BRFPA, plus help with events and looking after former players, which takes a lot of time. Also do some free work for the Bristol Rovers Blue Diamond Club. 1,500 posts on here and 5,000 on gaschat. £35,000 donated to charities from my Banksy books. Not sure what else I can do TBH.
