Very sad news. Geoff devoted his life to Bristol Rovers and the club and its supporters should remember him for that devotion.
Mine and Debs thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

RIP.
If it wasn't for him and his dad we wouldn't be here, guys & gals.
Know not everyone warmed to him, but in this time of division, I hope we take time out to respect each other and come together to say we've lost a GasHead and that's a sad day.

it is now on Official website
Everyone at Bristol Rovers was saddened to learn of the death of former Chairman Geoff Dunford earlier today.
Geoff and his father, Denis, did so much to keep Rovers going back in 1986 and he will always be remembered for the major role he played in the history of our club.
We offer our sincere condolences to Geoff’s family, who have issued the following statement, and his friends at this very sad time.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geoff Dunford on the morning of Saturday 21st October 2017 at 66 years of age.
Geoff quietly and peacefully passed away at home with his wife Sharon, sons Peter and Matthew and step-daughters Jessica, Esther and Kathryn at his side.
Geoff had very bravely battled a long-term illness and throughout displayed great courage, humour, strength and faith.
Geoff was well known as a prominent businessman in the west country, for his involvement on the board of Bristol Rovers F.C. and for the various charity and community projects he supported throughout Bristol.

Only ever had minor dealings with Geoff from a YTFC point of view and always found him polite and professional and good company.
Very sad news, and deepst sympathies to his wife and the rest of his family at this time.

Always felt I knew Geoff well through his Rovers connections and his love of Sports Cars through which we occassionally met. My sincere condolences go out to his son Peter and all his family at this very sad time. He will be greatly missed by many people.
WHEN SOMEONES TIME HAS COME TO PASS, A GASHEAD TO THE END.
UNITED WE STAND, GLASS IN HAND, TO TOAST OUR ABSENT FRIEND.
Rest in peace Geoff. You were taken far too soon.

My respects to all connected with Geoff; a man who gave time and desire for the club and will stay remembered. A significant man in the history of rovers and indeed bristol and Bath; a significant man for every Bristol Rovers supporter.
RIP. Thank-you Geoff.

A very sad day indeed. The club and supporters owe much gratitude to both Geoff and his dad,Dennis, for what they did for us,particularily in our darker days.Without them this great club of ours may not exist.Geoff may you rest peacefully with your dad, never to be forgotten.

Without him and his family we would not have a team to support never really thought they got the respect they deserved for the time effort and financial backing at our time of greatest need hope he is now at peace thank you Geoff ☠️☠️☠️
