if memory isn't playing tricks, our purplest patch started about 40% of the way through last season and lasted until about 80% of the way through
the key change in the team seemed to me to be that Ollie Clarke stepped up to levels we'd never seen before
Leds, Locks and Sweens are also below the level of last year
all that probably explains the defence this year but, based on previous, the players we have have the ability to turn it around

I believe that we need to add a holding midfield player because the midfield are not providing adequate protection for the back 4 in this current system. From what I have seen this season the attempt to accommodate Sercombe and Lines in the same side has left us a little unbalanced. When on top I can see how we have potential to tear sides apart but when we're in 50/50 games or under the kosh we run the risk of being overrun in the middle - that's what I feel I've seen in the 4 games I've watched this year (although I didn't go to Rochdale to be fair). We look more consistently dangerous on the ball than last season - but we also look way more vulnerable.

Regrettably we gotta wait until January.

No doubt Jamie Shore did have talent, but passed too often across the pitch as I recall, I think the club (or someone) gave him the best of chances to get back into the game even sending him to America for treatment and he had, I think, one of the first cartilage implants. After injury he remained loyal to the club, even following them away, once he was talking to Rovers' players in the car park up at Boston when an ill-tempered (normal) Bater called everyone to the coach to leave as quickly as possible. Ciderspace News Page : New Coach In The Glovers Dugout This Week 27 October 2017 : New Coach In The Glovers Dugout This Week Yeovil Town manager Darren Way has confirmed that he has taken on an additional coach in the last few days. For Tuesday night's EFL Trophy Group Stage tie against Chelsea Under-21s, the home dugout had former Norwich City and Bristol Rovers midfielder Jamie Shore acting as one of the named Glovers coaches during the game.
