Full time. Lost 1-0 another disappointing third consecutive defeat Yeah keep the faith Harry. Another defeat, another blank. We are in for a long hard winter. Not good enough.

Down to sixteenth now. Minus six again and worst defensive record. Not able too see many positives at the moment.

3 games in 8 days, 3 defeats, 6 goals conceded, none scored.
Progress?
Shows what happens when we lose Bodin I guess? Better pray he doesn't 'do a Taylor' in January or we are in a world of trouble.
Also, as mentioned above, the number of goals we let in compared to the number of shots the opposition have on target is a joke, we need a decent keeper.

Positives: We went 83 minutes without conceding. The sh*t lost 0-3 at home and snake was sent off.

About the 83 mins, the goals against show one, the defeat column shows another added. We didn't score (again). Where are the positives in that? We have another striker who cannot score for toffee. The snake took time to get going but Nicholls and James before him, both had ample opportunities, including penalties to score and failed. I think progress has come to a shuddering and abrupt halt and we are now in reverse.

Feel for traveling supporters at recent away matches hard earned money spent for nothing. Desperate times 1-0 down we need 1 goal for a draw 2 for a win,I know let's bring on a striker that hasn't scored all season instead of a striker that has scored recently. Another apology from the gaffer he got it wrong yet again. Let's move on to the next match I'm sorry but people will not buy into this philosophy for much longer first win in (7) for a Muppet team like Rochdale.

The most fascinating part of the matchday build-up is to see who he's put on the teamsheet and try to fathom out his reasoning. I think he confuses himself sometimes. Oh well, I await his apology...

It was all going so well until you decided to call Rochdale a Muppet team.

Okies, I must be one of first ones back.
Another poor performance. Not as god-awful as Tuesday night, but we deserved a at least a draw today.
Unfortunately, we don't have any width, imagination, tempo or audacity to conjure a goal atm . We badly miss bodin. We badly miss a decent flank attacking option. We badly miss a big target man. We badly miss a captain whom can organise.
Positives.. Not conceding 4 goals, and apart from the goal conceived, our defence looked solid.
Broadband. My m o m. Steady, got basics right, gave support to Locks.
Sinclair. Moved about a bit, covered blades. His first 90mins back since injury and hope he builds on it.
Gas turnout. After a difficult week, in horrendous conditions, we turned up in numbers again at a venue notorious for non wins and distance.
Negatives.. Again, Ollie Clarke anonymous. One shot early second half, but most of match as much a spectator as I was.
Our movement. Even when we are in possession, we are static. When we aren't in possession, we struggle to mark up especially at set pieces. Want to see more movement, more running wide to stretch defenses. Options are now about hoofing ball up to someone, anyone, upfront. Most of the time aimlessly. We have no offensive structure. No wide outlet. Or if we do get wide, no one supports the service. A few years ago, Brown was highest assist goal scorer....I don't think he's assisted once and certainly doesn't look like scoring this season. We are impotent on left side. No creativity.
Nichols. New lj? Starting to get serious now as he missed what looked like open goal, but he somehow managed to take the more difficult option of hitting fella on the line from 6yards! I can't believe it..
Dc. He seems ponderous in trying to change what's going wrong. We need a goal, he puts on Nichols....ok fair enough, he got himself into a chance to score, just think if anyone else would have the same chance we would have come away with a point. I'm wondering why broom hasn't been given a chance? Why not start Telford? Ok, we were 3-5-2 for large period of match, but never exploited width. So, Leads would get ball, pass into mid, instead of breaking down right wing, he would cover inside and remain narrow. Must be his coaching.
So we move on to an mk game that surely we can get something out of?
I would 4-4-2 it with... Slocombe. Brown. Broads. Sweens. Leads. Sincs. Lines. Sercombe. Broom. Ellis Telford.
Then think about a formation change depending on how match went.
It isn't clicking atm, defence leaky, strikers weak. We need it sorting..

Agreed, he says that the changes are to confuse the opposition, but the only person he seems to be able to consistently confuse is himself. The apology came, it was the same one he uses after every away defeat. I know that self confidence isn't a problem for him, but even he must have noticed that we are doing something wrong in away games?

I guess lack of confidence is now a factor in our performances?

I see it more as a lack of natural creativity.
Relying on Lines passes is too one dimensional.
We lack attacking tempo, instead prefer to pass sideways / back then hoof up.
Confidence is an issue. Nichols desperately needs a goal for confidence alone.
I wish I could see where the next goal will come from...probably an opponent mistake...I'll take that! ...we also look poor from set pieces, both ends of pitch.

Football is not a science, we have won multiple games in succession and we’ll lose multiple games in succession but we have a manager and squad who can adapt. So long as we learn from mistakes, which we do, it’ll be fine.

Keep the faith fell sure DC will have us back to winning ways with three home games against MK Dons, West Ham and Swindon with Nichols finally scoring.
We have missed Bodin for sure.

I would try 5-3-2 with Bola & Leads as wingbacks - that's how we can get a bit of width and pace. Gaffers & Ellis up front (Telford on as a sub when Gaffers tires). O Clarke has just been dreadful this season and needs 'a rest'. Midfield of Sincs/Sercombe/Lines. Nicholls also needs 'a rest'. Preferably a long one.
