Just back. I think we will finish about 17th. We have enough about us to stay up, but that's about it. For me the defensive issues we have were summed up by the wall following the sending off. Yes there was a sending off, but the wall was a shambles and clearly a shambles before the free kick was taken. No one organising. I wish we had a keeper to push someone into the wall to organise it like v Walsall! I take it all back! We need someone to take organisation seriously..

Sweeney had to go as he made contact. Terrible wall from the resulting free kick. Poor defending for two other goals. We are leaking far too many goals with poor basic defending. We started slowly last season, the season before that and the Conference season but I just can't see us improving at present. Hope I am wrong but the signs are looking ominously like a long hard season at the wrong end of the table.

Having watched all the games this season, the defence is very poor. Cannot see many positives results wise, unless this is sorted.

Has Steve yates departure got anything to do with rovers pitiful season so far especially in defence. Just trying to look for answers.

Also could ask if the switch to 4 3 3 is causing issues, defend as a team,

Have you seen the goals against column and the goal difference? One of the worst defences in the Division, so yes, at the moment it is pitiful and needs to change quickly before we get into a losing habit and could become terminal.

You actually think the club will cease to exist if we don't sort our defence out? That was kind of my point really, since the advent of social media people use ridiculous terminology and hyperbole after every game. So far this season we haven't played particularly well. In general over the past few seasons, we have played quite well which suggests the manager more or less knows what he is doing. We may be in for a poor season (We may not) , but to describe it as pitiful in mid September does a disservice to those who have done rather well for us in recent times.

Rex, what a pompous reply of course I did not mean the club will cease to exist due to our defensive weaknesses. So apologies for using "ridiculous terminology" but if you are happy with the situation as it presently stands then that is up to you.

Could be wrong, but I don't think we've got off to a great start in any of the last three seasons, so possibly a little early to be pressing the panic button?

But our recruitment was bad and we have no left sided attack minded players and no real wingers. DC said himself that some players could be happy to remain league one or a slide back into league 2, in one of his interviews. Our home form hasn't been encouraging so maybe not panic but certainly worried

I don't think over reactions are helpful, why use the word 'terminal' if that's not what you mean? Sorry if that sounds pompous
