Would he be interested in running a consortium? Why would he? He's already the owner of Oxford..... ...AND we've got a perfectly good President in Wael.

The 25 people who read this site are going to be beside themselves with woe reading the musings of an old git. Or maybe not.

Pretty sure it's Eales but I'm often wrong
Just for my own peace of mind I did a web search and it is indeed Darryl EALES. I remember when Mr Samuelson was photographed in box one and Eales's name was being bandied about then. As it happen @notwuitesosure was bang on right and Eales had gone as far as to make an offer, an offer Herr Higgs flatly denied taking place and saying, outright, that NO offers had been made. He then looked pretty bad on points west when they told him of this offer and his response was that he was astounded that such information would get out into the public domain due to non disclosure agreements but uncle Toni was prone to a chat after a couple of ales. It's strange as I was keen on this guy Eales, he's often seen stood with the Oxford fans and seems to be one of the few good guys, who seems to want what's best for the club he invested in. I think it's a sad tale of the one that got away. Not at all the same as that parasite Samuelson, who would sell his grandmother if the price was right.

Same spelling, so I'm confused why you said that.
Also, are you sure he got away? Maybe he just popped off for a Chinese.

So just in case the speculation on this forum is correct let's speculate again on who the future speculators might be. While we're at it lets speculate that it's someone so wide of the mark as to make the whole thread moot. Jeez!

But it's a forum and given the woolly nature of the interviews and lack of any real meat to the bones as in what plans do we have for the mem then all we can do is speculate. I mean , it's great that we may have experienced people on our side, who have been involved with regeneration projects but, let's face facts, we are very much back to square one. We have to go through the entire process again and given that the planning will be totally different to what was proposed before, at the mem, we are more than likely looking at 5 years to get to breaking land if past experience is anything to go by. It's only opinions and nothing to get your knickers in a twist about. Just scroll on by if it offends

No offence at all KP, just confused my tired old cranium.
Blue Mist - someone who is usually very accurate with these things, told me yesterday that Eales was leading a consortium and had Chinese financial backing.
Call me a belter or whatever alleged insult is fashionable this week, but that's what was said and the person who told me was happy for it to be public.
My head hurts.

Grant, I've always preferred to just call you a tosspot. None of your postings have changed my stance on this.
Best wishes,

Chinese whispers You can't call them that any more, it's Mandarin Murmurs.
It's health and safety gone bonkers.

There we go then. Me spouting bollocks as usual. The combined effects of Sanford's finest, age, the attention span of a gnat and the memory retention of a goldfish on mogadon, all serve to show this thread is about as accurate as a Lester Piggott tax return. Admin, please feel free to bin this or at least recycle it somewhere useful, like the Andrex factory.
