Won't be so many next home game after that performance.Losing 4-1 at home no excuses.

What was that supposed to be?
Worse than Charlton at home last season.

That was simply awful, but I don't blame the defence as I think the midfield played far too deep allowing posh far too much space in midfield.Leadbitter had his worst game I've seen him play and was caught out of position that often I don't understand why he wasn't subbed, and please dont start me off on Harrison. He was dreadful, missed a simple chance and why DC continues to start with him baffles me, his only place should be on the bench and used as an impact sub. We surely can't play that bad again or else it will be a long hard season.Bottom of the league so now the only way is up.Got faith that DC can turn this around though.UTG.

Not convinced by 4 3 3. Posh easily found us out, pressed hard, player on the hole picking us apart.
Every player was making mistakes. They then list confidence and hardly any one wanted the ball.
Ellis at fault for all 4 goals!

Ellis at fault for all 4 goals!Criticism is fine, but it's probably best when it's based in fact. Ellis missed a tap in when we were 1-0 down, that could have changed the game, he'll probably hold his hands up to that, but how can he be at fault for all 4 goals, he went off on 61 mins, they scored the 3rd on 78 and 4th at 90+5? Or is it his fault because he wasn't on the field, or what?

On a positive note I felt the pasties tasted better than last season !
Why o why was there only one refreshment cabin open massive queues at half time on the East Terrace. First home game big attendance glorious sunshine. Opportunity missed.
Sercombe and Gaffers did well...Ellis was poor as was Locks and Lines. Today reminded me of the Charlton Athletic and Newport County 4-1 home defeats.
Only two words to sum up the day....Clarke out ! (Only jesting)

Last season it was 1-5. Sorry to hear that only 1 refreshment hut being open ruined your day.

Still baffled as to why DC continues to play Lockyer ever single week and more so that he has the armband, back four was a mess today.
TL has a good future ahead but time to give the guy a rest IMO, Broadbent looked totally at ease last week on his debut and derserved a follow up based on form alone.
EH has proved time and time again that he can be a useful impact player for the last 20 minutes if were chasing a game, not looki g good enough overall at this level.
Smith seems similar to Roos in that he just doesnt verbally command and nor does TL.
Loved the drama from some of the young uns calling into 20man on way home, the end is nigh, apparently.

Ah, I see, everything is Elliss' fault, yes, there was plenty of that on Tuesday, people shouting about how lazy he is even when he was first back defending after we lost possession from a corner. At times, with the abuse he gets, I wouldn't blame him if he did let his head go down.

Was it Heinrich Himmler who said "If we didn't have Jews we'd have to invent them." Gotta have a culprit.

Er, got that one wrong!
Defence looking like they had all just met and midfield wondering where the ball is they just gave away! We got what we deserved.
Fair play Peterborough, they played a stronger physically and more direct match than us and deservedly beat us easily. Although they capitalised on some poor individual errors.
Positives... Big crowd to start the league season off at Mem. Sprinklers look like they soak the away fans a bit when wind is in right direction. Can only move in one direction now in this league. Hit the bar twice. Jake Marriot terrorising us. Their number7. Their number 16.
Negatives... Sweeny. Leads. Nichols shooting. Playing the ball up to Ellis as is he's the biggest bloke in the world and then crowd moaning Ellis isn't doing enough! Hello, this isn't his game!? Defence. Mis placed asses, sorry passes. Am really not so sure about Keeps. Jury firmly out. Unconvinced as of yet.
Things can only get better.....surely?

Think Ellis will be shipped out on loan in this window. Just a poor player imo who is playing a level above his capabilities. Always on his heels, no awareness, no football brain, can't win a 50/50 header, no bravery, spends too long on the floor...I could go on...time to head off some place else Ellis and good luck

That was strange. Anyone blaming Ellis for the defeat is as deluded as someone forecasting we would score 4 today.
Billy looks like he's trying to carry the team. I bloody well hope he stays, or we're goosed.

We miss Matty Taylor and have done so since he went to the dark side
We miss his hold up play, ability to bring others into the game let alone his goals
As for Ellis he has enough opportunities to cement a merited place in the team but still falls short imo and lacks the correct movement on and off the ball ... his control is poor
Lines is lightweight only good enough as a playmaker if he plays alongside two strong midfielders
of the team today only Sercombe Bodin and possibly Sweeney derserve praise
