Oh yea, the Corinthian thing. Apologies. Apart from that, Just one thing (that helped Bristol Rovers)?? Well, he reversed the ban on Spencer. I've been trying to work out if that's a good or bad thing, then decided, if it p!ssed Higgs off, it's good But seriously, I'm told that he communicates with supporters, replies quickly and politely, he did deal with the spite filled ban handed down to Kevin, I can't think that the owners would be troubling themselves with things like painting bars and new carpets, so he probably gets credit for that also. But these are the sort of things that I thought Masters and Seymour-Smith were supposed to do. Oh well, at least Hamer didn't cost us £1,000,000. And we have the world's most rubbishist electronic scoreboard. That may have been him, but he's probably too modest to take credit.

Out of interest what are your expecting him to have done?
He heads up a football club (which seems to be quite well run, certainly compared to previously).
Property development (for that football club) is down to its parent company (the inner workings of which he doesn't seem to be a part of).

Would you expect a chairman of a professional football club to have a clue what was going on at the club he professed to chair? Or is he simply an employee? He hasn't done anything. That's my point.

I dont think the interview was aimed at our supporters but at UWE. I think its a last ditch effort by dwayne sports to get UWE to agree to some major issues in the deal for the new ground. Hamer has deliberately shown no real interest in a plan b or a mem makeover. What hamer is saying is that were so fed up with the uwe and the collapse of this deal and right now we have no interest in anything else. The uwe people will know what the sticking points are and if they dont respond rovers will formulate a plan b. With that in mind, its a very good interview.

It's an atrocious interview from whatever way you look at it. The questions weren't as searching as one would like, probably because he just wants to remain everyone's friend so won't follow up on the bla bla cr@p he's received. Hamer comes out of it not knowing what is going on.....well some of us have thought that for a while, now it's even more apparent to those whom weren't aware. Clueless. Pathetic. Uninspiring. I feel like his interview leaves us with more questions to answer because I've been manipulated and deceived by his non specific answers. I'm calling hamer out as a parasite. Fair play, there may be a role in our club for his talents, but it certainly isn't a Chairman of a football club. I wonder what he actually offers to us? What he brings to the table? What forward thinking his ambitions are? What ideas of improvement he can pro actively inspire? How his ethos of running a club can be implemented under his chairmanship? What the fxxx difference he makes? Otherwise re establish him as something else, but Chairman is a joke. It certainly has a ring of Jekyll and Hyde to it that is for sure, under SH (assuming he runs daily club activities at the Mem), there has been the creation of several fan based groups under his current stewardship, a genuine open door policy, however staff morale has not increased since Nicky Biggs ran the circus, if anything things appear to have worsened. I would like to know who sanctioned the short notice, sharp rise in hospitality fees this season for businesses who have worked on behalf of the club at cost, to help improve the facilities at the Mem and contribute to the future of the Colony, all very odd, inconsistent, and IMO out of order. Noses are being put out of joint and I'm sure many people closely connected to the club beyond attending home matches are starting to scratch their heads in disbelief, and further still may reconsider what to do with their advertising budgets in future if it continues in this way, put another way some people are royally p1ssed off. Easy to point the finger at SH and use as scapegoat but it runs deeper than that IMO. Good old Rovers eh, just when you think things are heading in the right direction.

In the space of 3 months Iv'e gone from having complete belief and faith in the club being run professionally to having several serious doubts, easy to point the finger at SH and use as scapegoat but it runs deeper than that IMO. Good old Rovers eh, just when you think things are heading in the right direction. Most of us fans dont have any insight into hospitality fees and business related stuff so interesting to hear that stuff.

I thought boxes and hospility were more or less sold out last year? I guess in that scenario BRFC would put the price up to maximise revenue Obviously i have no ideas of the prices and whether they are excessive or comparable to other similar clubs

You replied to me by mistake Hopefully. This is like: 'bills aren't being paid' -> 'it's all over the Internet' -> 'does anyone have any examples?' -> 'it's a well known fact'. 'there are winding up orders' -> 'it's all over the Internet' -> 'does anyone have any examples?' -> 'it's a well known fact'. 'staff are miserable and corporates are revolting'..... I wish we could hear the whole story and not just the conclusions (or neither).

Just don't forget, Gas:
Hamer has contributed f all since announcement (just saying).
This thread has not closed because Wael has made an interview.
Trying to remind everyone, if there's accountability anywhere, surely the chairman should look at himself and his role?
And always, always question. What's wrong with questioning where the motives the (so say) chairman should lie?
To brfc? Or other?
