Great that he seems to be in free scoring mode even before the season has started this bodes well as long as Clarke plays him from match one next season's top scorer nailed on in my opinion what do you lot think.

If billy bodin is top scorer it probably means we will have struggled up front and are well down the league in my opinion.

Not really, was well off the pace for the first third of last season with injuries and illness and a general lack of fitness. He should be aiming for 20 goals this season in my opinion. If others chip in with 15+ we could well have a bloody lovely time.

Goal scoring is an odd one, you could score 20 goals in a season and not earn your side a single point, but score 3 and earn your team 9 points. No one "needs" a 20+ goal a season striker, what you need are players that work as a team to get you as many points by whatever means.

Very true, but if BB does get up in the 20+ mark then it means he's getting in the right positions and/or he's getting good service from his team mates IE we are playing well as a unit!!

Winning is playing well as a unit, everyone is doing their job and getting results. I'd like to win every match 1-0, scoring in the 90th minute every time for ultimate efficiency/s**thousing.

I think 20+ striker can be a big help but some successful teams get around the problem of not having one.

Will somebody piss on our parade come Friday. P.N.E, Cardiff, Fulham, and hull are all interested according to reports with a paltry fee of £250,000 being quoted. Let's hope rovers can rebuff any offers and he decides to stay. If he continues to score at the current rate come the end of the season he would be worth double. Better teams would also be interested. Rovers could well be a championship team next season anyway food for thought.

I see retaining everyone's services from Friday onwards more important than making signings.
If we can add to the squad, great, but we need to keep our best players if we want to make anything of this league, and BB et al staying def sends message of intent.

Are we even in a position to make any more signings if creditors remain unpaid?

I really hope we aren't in a position where we HAVE to sell!

That can be open to interpretation. I think we probably want to sell if the price was right or we could end up with a lower league dirty sanchez scenario where we have player unrest.

If the price is £250k and the player shows "unrest" if it isn't accepted, I'd send him to graze the new training ground until his contract is up! I actually think Billy is priceless at the moment because nobody would offer the sort of money I'd be willing to accept, if it were up to me. If he goes for nothing at the end of the season, at least we'd have 20 goals or so out of him in the meantime.

As long as he doesn't feel hard done by or we could end up with a situation like carayol Personally I think he will stay
