So....no drinks down the Vic. No singing and dancing outside the Vic. In fact, no Vic!
But....this is what dc has to say bout post Millwall and beyond:
.....is it me, or does it appear dc is rather emotional? Not surprised as probably let down by defence and officials!

Let down by letting sentiment blur his vision he needs to grow up quick and stop picking players with no future James cost us 2 points today by trying to win a free kick that never was and Millwall score from the following corner that's where sentiment gets you.

No dancing in the streets, but a manager talking in detail about his plans for this club next season.
Didn't someone start a thread recently about him having already decided to leave?

... a manager talking in detail about his plans for this club next season. Mr Bluesky could still be right that higher ranked clubs might want to take DC from us. But it was always thus. I'm delighted to hear the manager talking about a busy summer planning and recruiting for next season though. And I'm delighted to be disappointed with 'only' tenth in the third division.

Got his head down and focussing on next season from tomorrow morning was my takeaway

Exactly, he sounds like a hungry young man who has plans for himself, luckily for us, at this stage, they involve Rovers. Over to Wael to demonstrate that his ambition matches that of the manager.

Eight goals conceded in last two matches or eleven in last four games with just seven scored in those final four matches.
We still need better quality defenders and certainly better strikers. The loss of Sweeney and Lumley will need major funding to replace them.
Overall a solid season as Players have established themselves at this level.

I started that thread,it was a spoof in the sense that i made it look like it was factual. I believe he will leave for a bigger club before the start of next season though, just my view.

I suppose the best we can hope for is that good clubs like norwich dont offer him the job and our owner gives him a really good budget for next season?

DC must be aware of the Norwich interest (and know his stock is high right now) but I dont beleive he wants to leave.
Lets be honest he is using his position to try and increase his hand here and can you blame him.
He isnt saying anything we as fans paticularly disagree with, he wants as much as he can to do the job he beleives he can here

Interesting comments about footballers going wherever the money is highest. We used to pay very well, and recruited largely a pile of doo as a result
I think his emphasis on money was 'selective' here - another message, albeit a bit more oblique than a previous one, to the owners?
He knows that money is an enabler, but its management and culture that can make the real difference, I think

It's quite a loaded statement. I'm sure this season's top performers (Bodin and O. Clarke) now have licence to seek clubs that'll pay as well, if not better, when it comes to contract renewal stage thus working against DC's budget the following season.
Culture is as important, if not more, than money. Players have to want to play for Rovers, part of DC's job (which he is doing) is to make players want to play for Rovers. Too much money and not enough culture turns you into clubs like Sunderland, Bristol City or QPR (the Redknapp era).

I know many get agitated at you but I am with you here. Although this season has been a success in many people's view I think why can't we do what Bradford, Burton, bloody Fleetwood and others do ? We are long suffering fans so we habe grown to accept a certain victim mentality and I know all about that I'm afraid bjtnthats another story. I feel DC has been tetchy, irritable and just not with it in the last 6-8 games and sending out MS to do the interview said a bit to me. I like the bloke, have personally apologised to him about my negative mindset when he first too over and I hope he gets a chance of some respite from the glare of publicity for a short while at least. It's ALL about who we bring in during the summer now. There is much I will never understand and I know it's much easier to criticise from the outside but some of his decisions and team selections seem to have been bizarre at times. I think we can only use the "he's still learning" line only so far. If he's good enlighten to be wanted by higher level clubs then we need the owners to back him and bring in some quality and experienced players. I am still shocked by Montano to be frank as I felt there were much poorer candidates to have let go. Who would be a manager of a club like ours eh. Enjoy your break DC and come back to be the man with a a plan, one that gets full backing and allows him to get his 1st choice players in. Lord knows he has hinted enlighten times about having a lower half budget and when you take that into account then this changes things, at least for me. I feel he's earned a little off time. UTG

UTG I disagree. He's pushing all the time and forcing the club to move with him (at least on the playing side). It's good he's prepared to make big decisions, some may be proved wrong in hindsight, yet most of his has been proved right. And he's learning as we all are. The players released also show us the quality standard and areas he's looking to improve upon. The summer will be interesting, I think we'll see a very different type of player joining Rovers now our profile is far more positive.

That should have been a free kick, th Milwall player climbed all over James.
Corners happen. It is not James's fault that we didnt defend the corner.
