to be fair the game was only used to look at players. the problem was there were no players worth signing, who would improve our current squad Trolls is that you, or is it Wardy?! We need bodies at the moment, the famous 'won't improve the squad' line is not an option at the moment.

I agree with all that you say Westcountry, but the squad needs a few more quality signings, and I don't mean big names either . . . those days are long gone. Nero, fiddles and Rome all spring to mind here, but then again I am a rose-tinter.

According to the clubs twitter account DC has said that a verbal agreement has been made with a player, and hopefully the signing will be made on monday. The next few weeks will see wage demands come down and playing the waiting game for these remaining new players could turn out to work in our favour.

Where's the ''fingers crossed'' smilie when you need it, eh?

I thought at times Trotman looked to get rid of the ball to quickly with no end product. And yes Thompson looked half decent to be fair. Thought bath were very poor and may well struggle this coming season if that was there first choice team

BRFC XI 0 Bath City 1. Hardly a first team game, glad the youth had a chance to show what there about, DC will know whether they can be part of his plans or if he needs to arrange for them to go out on loan. Just had a text saying Trotman had a good game and Preston could easily be our number 2. Now is the time for the board to back DC and make sure the Trotman deal gets done, and that they don't disrespect him by offering a pathetic wage. Hopefully Thompson Higgins will stay on trial and play another few games. Higgins looked ok. If Smith goes, I think he could make a decent replacement. The rest, I wouldn`t give you tuppence for. Dross.

Didn't think we were as bad as some are making out today. Gosling looked decent as did Thompson up front. Mitchell struggled at times as did Trotman as things went on. Yes really, who do you think would challenge the first team players

My mate went and said it was terrible and that he is worried. If he is worried then there is a problem.

Quite right, these lads playing today are going to be squad members not first X1 (except maybe Trotman) and its good DC gets to see what they are like so he knows what back up he has. As you can see by the thread on players we have let go that there are lots and lots still without clubs and there will be a mad scramble by those unattached to clubs to find employment. There are still good players available and hopefully we will get one or two.

Preston was decent, Higgings looked solid again. I think Trottman will be signed, he adds experience. Would like to see Thompson again.

Worried about what ? Another relegation ? So what if we do ?
There's only so much humiliation that can be handed out to our once 'proud to be a Rovers Fan base' .
Be really clear ... unless there is significant improvement in the next few weeks this club will be in yet another relegation battle this season.
First three games wont see one point on the board ... as things stand.

Just had some info, the player signing on Monday is being described by my source as 'quality' , 'real coup' & 'experienced football league player'. If we get Trotman to sign aswell as this new player then that's 2 of the new signings sorted, 2 more to go.

Forgive me for not holding my breath on this real coup, quality, experienced football legue player, won't you.

Monday for me is a big day for the credibility of DC....
Another undercooked arrival or failure to complete a deal as stated and hes no better than some of the other so called misrepresentations of managers we have had to endure. ( in my eyes)
