were 5th in the league,we love it when teams attack us as were quick on the break and fit as can be but guess what teams are going to start playing for the draw or try to stifle us in a negative way i believe ,so it could be a new challenge for rovers and there fans. will our fans understand and be patient with our boys when this happens? are we equipped to deal with such an unexpected problem? im talking about a lot of home games where opponents may not want to play football in the pure sense if you know what i mean?

I think we are very well equipped to deal with teams that park the bus to be honest. We were everyone's cup final in the conference, and even in L2 still would have had teams coming to frustrate us. I don't see a problem if the same thing happens in L1.
When you look at our squad now we actually have the quality to pick our way through teams as well as having some good wingers who aren't often used and allow us to break quickly. The squad is as strong as I've seen it, and i'm 29.

I didn't think Gillingham exactly tried to tear into us.

I am just loving the journey, we have stepped up, I don't think we are even hitting our best form yet, and the midfield conundrum is still being sorted; its getting closer though. Keeper, sorted, defense um, well, almost, and 4 excellent strikers and a fifth on the fringes. Crowds are patient again as the hope and joy has come back. We were always awesome fans, but the 7-8 years before DC were depressing, I gave up my ST and was angry with the club. Now I cant wait for matchdays, and even if we are crap on the day, I'm back to being a gashead, and just enjoy supporting this club. We are progressing, and if we end up mid-able id be happy with news on other off field things, but I think we will be in the mix. Lets fill the mem week in week out!

This problem is completely the fault of DC ...

I don't think Wael's influence can be understated.
There is just a positivity about the whole club now. People are relaxed, if we go behind no back biting.
Yes were doing well in Feb when the takeover happened, and takeover itself would had no immediate concrete impact, but I think physiologuically I think it had a massive impact. The gloom lifted. I think we would not have gone up without the takeover, it maintained the momentum which has continued on into the new season.
Long term we will have to see whether the present board come up with the goods, I think they will, but enjoy the ride.

The mood is as good as I can remember...more resiliant team/squad for sure. Invariably, when we went one down at Eastville- that was often the final score.
Too many imponderables for me as to whether this takeover will be a long-term success.
The playing side of things is truly wonderful at the moment- if we go up then can we stay up? Doubt it personally unless DC were to stay and we were able to keep present loans plus Taylor or improve on the present squad which, of course would require significant investment..

I think we have a good selection of midfielders now both in the centre and out wide to cause most teams a problem when they even try to sit back.
I think the midfield for the Oldham game was arguably the strongest and most well rounded we have fielded all season, with the work rate and defending of Sinclair (he makes a good DM), you then have Lines and Boateng who are quite similar, like to get on the ball carry it forward before bringing others into the play, last but not least we have colckett, anybody who has seen him play can see for themselves that when he is on the ball something is going to happen.
Lines for me since coming back has just got better and better every season, been so impressed with him - probably my stand out player of the season so far.
I would love DC to start with the same 4 but almost gauruntee 2 of those names will be different.
