So is anyone going to admit to making it a double header weekend and visit trashton to watch the rugby today? i read in the times that they are very disappointed with season ticket sales (about 5000). I wonder how many they would have sold if still at the Mem.

Mate has season ticket for rugby, with his wife and kid goes free.
He said a few more joined in the week.
What he also said was, he is priority 2 of '82 matches even though he has no interest in football! And vice-versa with that lot season ticket priority over rugby matches.
It's all very incestuous!
Then again, we've been aware of that for years now with that lot..

I wont be going to this one as the prices mean i have to cherry pick which matches i attend.
Season tickets wont be massive sellers in my opinion as with only 11 league games they are not such a good deal as with football. If you know you would be likely to miss a couple of games in the season due to other commitments then its cheaper to pay per game.
I still support Bristol and always will. I just think they would be better supported across the city if they were allowed their own identity rather than being tainted by the corporate branding of Bristol Sport which is turning them into a mere franchise.

Wonder who Robinson is going to write to complaining about today's defeat? Judging by the scoreline, it's going to be a long letter!

Supported Bristol Rugby from a very young age 6 or 7, watched them a lot more than the Gas in the 60's and held a season ticket as an adult too. They've lost my attendance at home matches for good. There is no way on earth that I will ever be going to Trashton. I'll travel to the local derbies like Bath, Gloucester and Worcester. Fear for their development this season, already lost their first two games and next week are away to Wasps who put Leicester Tigers to the sword at Welford Road on Saturday so are unlikely to pick up anything. Like London Welsh continually losing becomes a habit and could take them straight back down. Dislike the red they have in the blue and white hoops shirts too

Bristol RFC home has always been in north Bristol, and although I totally accept that this is no longer the case, nevertheless it does mean that quite a number of supporters inevitably feel disenfranchised by their relocation. Personally I don't feel any kind of allegiance to what I consider to be a new club, and I think that quite a number of people are thinking the same.
But it's like so many other things as regards Lansdowne's random purchasing of sports clubs and individuals in the Bristol area. He may well be hoping that all of his plans gel together, and they may well do . . . who knows? But the point is that things have inevitably changed, and it will be interesting to see if he can carry the supporters with him.

It already caused friction etween me and the Mrs, she won't obey my edict of non attendance

I can only go on what others have said. Apparently Duane " the gasman" Winters comes out to a shortened version of his Irene walkout song. I talked with Chris & he said it's the best venue right now but things can change. I don't mind saying this but with Chris it's ALL about the money. I was bitterly disappointed that they chose to have fights there
