Bucks free press reported "Woodward laughs off relegation threat as Rovers affair nears conclusion". Indicating that the Wycombe Chairman was meeting the FA that day and a verdict was due in the next week.
Well four weeks on and no conclusion.
Like most, I suspect this is because the FA suits are all in Brazil. Like most, I don't expect any positive outcome as far as Rovers is concerned, but is this really getting pushed into the long grass?
Other than a few wind up merchants on the Wycombe forum, this seems to be the subject that dare not speak its name amongst Rovers fans. For once, it is no surprise that the board are keeping quiet also. I'm intrigued and I wonder how much longer Wycombe will have to wait.

Hmmm it is quiet, but one thinks it's because it's been dismissed out of hand! Time to prepare for Grimsby .

Must admit, I haven't given it a thought as I don't expect anything to impact on our remaining in the Conference

As I indicated, neither do I expect any kind of positive outcome for the gas. It is interesting how long the case is taking and the complete absence of reporting from both Bristol and Bucks press.
Maybe a big brush is sweeping this one under the carpet.

Never thought we would have been reinstated, would have been nice though lol. What would happen if we were now? Already signed players for the conference.

Well when we were in L2 we thought we were getting borderline L1/L2 players to get us to the top half and they invariably took us the other way. Maybe this new group of borderline L2/conf players would do the reverse in L2 and take us to the top half of it? Mind you with nothing coming of the Wycombe affair they have to get us out of the conf at the right end first!

Lets be honest we all knew we were going to be in the conference.
The best we can hope for is some sort of cash settlement. (£40m to build UWE should do it)
Anything we get well...

The contrast is pretty stark between the swift justice handed out by the Conference to Salisbury and Hereford and the slow deliberation of the FA and Football league in the Wycombe case. I just thought it worthy of a mention as the article seemed a little too dismissive to me.

There has been nothing in the 'rules & governance' section of the F.A. website since June.
I take it they are all on their Brazilian jolly.
Sunderland were fined £100,000 for a breach of the same rule , so I think there is no chance
of a points deduction

If the FA suits had any decency they would have come home with the England team and got to work on sorting out the sorry state of the National side.

It seems if any conference team is doing something even slightly wrong then the powers that be clamp down on it hard and fast as the cases you quoted above certainly show. At least you know where you stand with them.

I don't think it would make much difference as I don't believe the football played is that much different, apart from physicality. The one big worry for me is that we need players ASAP. It's all well and good saying DC is prepared to wait but it could end up badly. I don't see loans as the way forward. If we do get loans then I hope they are season long as, above all, we need a team that plays for each other and that builds up the spirit of 1990.
