Manchester United have announced the £16m signing of Argentina international defender Marcos Rojo on a five-year contract.
The 24-year-old joins from Sporting Lisbon, with Nani joining the Portuguese club on a season-long loan.
"Playing for the world's biggest club is a dream for me," said Rojo, who is United's third signing of the summer.
The left-sided defender played in six games as Argentina reached this summer's World Cup final in Brazil.

Balotelli to Liverpool is fairly close. Liverpool have agreed a £16m fee with AC Milan to sign former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli. Reds boss Brendan Rodgers wants the Italy international, 24, to strengthen his attack after last season's top scorer Luis Suarez joined Barcelona. Balotelli moved to Milan for £19m from City last year and has scored 30 goals in 54 games for the Serie A club. Liverpool travel to Etihad Stadium in their next Premier League match on Monday. Negotiations are still taking place to agree terms with the player, but Balotelli has already said his farewells in Italy. Milan said in a statement on their website: "Mario Balotelli left Milanello's sporting centre at 13:30 local time, after saying goodbye to his team-mates. |

Never scored over 14 goals, a red card every 18 games...Good signing... 16m is a bargain compared to Shane Long 12m and Ross McCormack 11m. Of course it's a gamble as he is a nutcase. |

I guess it's promising for other teams knowing Balotelli went for £16m, especially Man Utd who apparently look to off-load Welbeck, they should be getting a similar amount, if not more.
But the Shane long and others that went for a so say hefty tag, I bet this happens in other leagues, but we just don't hear about it.
Oh, the owner or top guy at La Liga said the other day that he wanted La Liga to be as big as the EPL on a global scale, and by doing this, wanted the top 500 players in La Liga to compete...yet this summer, they've let Sanchez, Costa, Fabregas join EPL teams, Di Maria is pretty much a done deal to Utd for £53m, and Sami Khaderia could also be out, looks like another kick to the sack from the EPL on La Liga!

When Torquay sold Billy Kee to Burton for £20,000 they put in a sell on clause of 35%.He scored regularly at Burton and has now been sold to S****horpe United for £250,000 so the Gulls have netted around £80,000.That's the way to do it.Wish we had something similar in place for Eliot.He's earning rave reviews at Tranmere(.That's not my spelling of the side he's been sold to.Editor being a bit fussy.)
