So we need 5 goals in the return leg...tough but doable.

I know this is another friendly but from what I have seen we need some quality asap we were lucky to get back to back promoted but think we'd be silly to go into the season gambling on our current squad.

I will wait til we play some proper football before making any judgment
Not sure what people are expecting from the friendlies exactly?
Granted we may have looked poor (and i havent seen any games) but it is so hard to judge. How are other teams taking the games.
Just find it depressing saying League One has morr quality, Scunthorpe will tear us a new one.
Sure we can improve the team and i guess all the other teams will want to by the end of August

I thought we got back to back promotions on team spirit, hard work, persistence and a great footballing ethic. A bit of luck is always needed, but as when we were relegated, we deservedly ended up where we belonged. We were in play offs since December for dc sake! Last season we lost to @rse u21, Reading and got tonked v West Brom in pre season friendlies. Also, Yeovile maybe?? Let's wait til season starts before casting judgment. We may be pleasantly surprised..

Until DC starts with his intended starting 11,or actually plays them for part of a match, we won't know how good, or bad, they actually are, as there's no way he'll start with Broom, who makes Matt Harding look a decent player, or Greenslades, who's only slightly better, at Scunthorpe.
I thought Lawrence looked OK today but Easter once again seemed incapable of moving the ball forward and Harrison was once again useless when he came on.

Even DC himself has said we have overachieved. Like the poster above said, we have done that on team ethic / spirit and work rate. Maybe "gambling" was the wrong word, but it gets to a point where you need more footballing ability to get results. Again, this is just my opinion, this forum would be boring if everyone agreed on the same thing.

Will have a look at it again against Cheltenham. DC has not been able to put out his strongest side so far during preseason; that said,we all know BRFC need plus 3 or 4 players. Not currently worried but definitely concerned.

Yep it's only a friendly and all that, but there's losing and there's losing. Granted injuries have made our defence so so poor, but we lost it in all areas. Looks like DC is favouring Puddy - he played the whole game, but with little command. Our strikers did little, except Bodin, thankfully Taylor missed the punch he threw. Still Sabadell were very welcoming and socially it was a great night apart from their ruddy drum, bah humbug.
