playing 5 a side at Vallis Way YC [Frome] about 16 years old, a penalty. now that ain't far from goal in 5 a side......but far enough for me to put the ball over the 14 foot high wire fence!!...... took a while to live that one down

Got a pen for shouting handball when i knew it wasn't. But got it. Smashed my left foot through it with my son watching on the side. Saved but came out to me on my right..........over. we lost 1-0. |

Failing to collect a very tame first minute through ball and somehow allowing it to go straight in wasn't my finest moment in a very brief goalkeeping career. Saving a penalty in the same game didn't make up for it, I think we lost 0-7.

I once broke my nose and two ribs trying to keep a last minute clean sheet in six aside when 12-0 up. A chap broke through down the left, I narrowed the angle and he squared it to his mate who shot just inside the post, I sprinted and dived, smashed into the post and end up in the net with the ball. Blood everywhere. Fantastic times.
