I was very pleased to see Chris begin to put in slide tackles, blocks, challenges and generally get in the way of the opposition when they had the ball.It made him a far more complete player and asset to Rovers. On the ball Chris is fine.DC I think has done a good job on Chris. A good signing.

Excellent!
I watched the DVD of the Dag&Red game at the weekend and whilst every player had a great game, contributed to the win, and put in 100%, Chris Lines was absolutely outstanding that day - pretty much the complete midfield performance.
Reading Martin's 'Print That Season' recently also reminded me that he was out on his feet at Wembley, Ollie Clarke ready to replace him, but he managed to get through extra time, and that was what enabled DC to make the goalkeeping substitution for the penalties.

Great news. To have Chris Lines at this level is important with his experience.I am sure all the others will be ok but we know Lines can do well at this level. Chris has been involved in 3 out of 6 of Rovers promotions in our history so I am sometimes surprised at the way people are unsure about him. But on his day and when he plays well consistently over a period of time he can be one of the best. Having been an important part of the last two promotions and absolutely fantastic in the final match I hope he knows how important he is and how good he could still be. I still think he's a player who needs an arm around him to tell him how good he is, and I bet DC is the perfect manager for him. UTG!

Delighted he's still with us. An accomplished player who has bags of experience, knows this league well and is gas through and through. Let's hope he starts next season in the form that he ended this one.

Great news. Matty tomorrow?I'd love to think so, and the Bristol Post is hinting at it today . . . but then again, what do they know eh? I believe that he's under contract until July 1, so we should all know quite soon now, but I must say that it's been a tortuous time waiting for the thumbs up or down. But in the circumstances perhaps we should be wondering who is under DC's microscope, should MT decide to walk?

Great news. Matty tomorrow? not a chance No announcement from the club of any signings yet! Seems we have been having one per day for a couple of weeks. Was hoping Matty would be ano ounces today (or someone to replace him). Still as players are contracted until next Thursday, we may not get anymore for a few days.

Not many players who have moved on from Rovers since the 2010-2011 season have prospered. Most have plummeted. Some progressed to or remained in league 1 (eg Michael Smith) and a few went higher. Lambert (well done Sir) Carayol who's career seems to be in abeyance, Santos (what is he doing now) Clarkson (an income earned since but in places at probably the same standard as League 1).
Matty may be better off staying, but good luck to him if he goes.

Matty may be better off staying, but good luck to him if he goes. In all honesty I think Matty would be crazy not to move. He is at an all time high with his profile and if he has a chance to earn well the I think he has to take it. The current team have done so well but I really can't see the team going onto another promotion or play offs unless there is an addition of some quality players. If we go on with the team as is then I think we will have a sobering experience in league one. I know DC has worked wonders but it's a big ask to get basically the same team to be in the frame again. That's obviously just my opinion. Matty has to think of himself now and if he truly believes that he can continue to be the stand out striker in yet another level of football. I obviously hope he stays but football is a fickle mistress and he has to make hay while the sun shines. I will not begrudge him that if this is what he chooses either
